Wigan Youth Zone paid us another visit recently, but this time it was three of the junior members who stopped by to chat with a few of our residents 🗣️

Jan, Brian and Elaine offered the kids an insight into life as a grown-up whilst they discussed hobbies, friendships and music 🥰🎵

🎶 Music and Baking at Langtree Care Home! 🎶

Yesterday, we enjoyed a Music in Mind session on our first floor with our lovely Music Ambassador, Beth. She treated us to some soothing flute melodies and even played a bit of Oasis on the keyboard for one of our residents who’s a huge fan! Everyone got involved — making music, singing along, and sharing plenty of laughs (when we remembered the words!) 🎵

Today, our Ron fancied a bit of baking, so we headed to the first-floor kitchen and whipped up a huge condensed milk cake! It’s taking its sweet time in the oven, but the delicious smell wafting through the home is well worth the wait 🍰

Another busy, joyful day here at Langtree Care Home — filled with music, laughter, and the comforting scent of freshly baked cake 💛

Since opening our doors in July, we’ve loved watching the wonderful bonds forming between our residents. Two of our very first residents, Elaine and Mary, quickly developed a special friendship that’s warmed the hearts of everyone here at the home 💚

This week at Langtree, we’ve been getting well and truly into the Halloween spirit! Our team has been busy preparing for the spooky season — making special trick-or-treat bags for our little visitors and crafting some rather beautiful witches’ hats that we’re all very proud of 💀👻🍬

Earlier this month, our Lifestyle & Enrichment Coordinator, Sabrina, went along to Wigan Youth Zone's Careers Fair 🤩

Sabrina has been part of Millennium Care since 2023, and during that time, she’s worked across the kitchen, domestic, care, and activities teams, so she was able to offer the young people a great insight into what it's like to work in care 💚

👻🎃 Spooky season has officially begun at Langtree! 🎃👻

Yesterday we got our hands messy making clay ghost tea light covers to kick off the Halloween fun! Today we’ve been busy putting together our trick-or-treat bags, packed full of yummy, spooktacular goodies ready for all our little visitors next week! 🍬🕸️

This afternoon, our home was filled with music and laughter during our Singing for the Brain and Music in Mind sessions — singing, playing, and sharing songs from days gone by, and even making some of our own! 🎶💛

Another busy (and very joyful!) day with our wonderful Langtree Family! ❤️

Another Fun-Filled Day at Langtree! 🎉

Today we enjoyed a fantastic armchair exercise session led by the lovely Maddie — we’ve officially mastered the hand jive! Time to start thinking about what our next challenge will be! 💪🪩

We also had the absolute pleasure of celebrating a very special occasion — Tom and Jan’s 63rd wedding anniversary! What an incredible milestone and such a heartwarming celebration 💐💞
