Mountfitchet House is a purpose-built care home set within the Essex countryside. The skilled and dedicated team delivers residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care and sensitive end of life care. Located in a small village near Stansted, the home has great links to major motorways and a regular train service to London and Cambridge. The home is divided into four suites that create a 'home within a home' and has excellent facilities, such as a cinema room, pub, hair salon and café. The team strives to ensure residents continue to lead fulfilling and enjoyable lives by getting to know each resident as an individual, so every aspect of their care can be tailored to their unique needs and tastes.

Day 6 & 7 🎁

- Yesterday, we had an afternoon of arts and crafts, creating Christmas cards, painting images and making Santa hats 🎅🏼

- This afternoon, we had a fabulous performance from the Bishops Stortford Gospel Choir 🎶 As always, the choir blew us away with their vocals, bringing so much festive cheer. Thank you very much for visiting us, we absolutely loved the performance 🥰

Join us for our next festive event - Ally Pally Darts Night, this Thursday 11th December from 6:30pm-8:30pm. We have partnered up with Saffron Walden Youth Darts to put on this fun-filled evening, with fancy dress, watching teams going head-to-head and refreshments 🎯

Day 5 - Part 1 🎁

- Our Christmas Market was a great success, filled with festive shopping, Santa's Grotto, fun, games and a true sense of community. From all of us here at Mountfitchet House, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to either hold a stall, to attend or support the team, we couldn't be more grateful ✨

Day 3 & 4 🎁

- Yesterday, we held a tasty baking session, creating chocolate cornflake wreaths and decorating gingerbread men 🍫

- This evening, we had a visit from the local Cubs group, which left the residents smiling from ear to ear, after how wonderful the children were. We read books, created Christmas cards and decorations, and the children sang to us 🎶 All the children were so kind and caring, and we cannot thank their team enough for making this happen. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas 🎄

Day 1 & 2 🎁

- We started off the Christmas celebrations yesterday, with the elf arriving back in the home 🫣 We had an afternoon of festive treats and a sing along to get in the spirit!

- We followed on today, with a Christmas themed quiz, where the elf was caught cheating 😟 Thank you to all who came, it was a wonderful evening, full of laughter and friendly competition 🎄
