What new things have you tried!?
Hi there, continuing from Action for Happiness
finding new ways in November, why is trying new things important!?
It is important because it opens our minds up to new ideas and learning. It also banishes fear and gives a thrill, a sense of confidence and wellbeing.
Imagine trying something new and/or something that you've always wanted to and the joy that you would experience for just doing it, nevermind the joy you'd get from the thing alone.
New experiences are good for our emotional health. Trying new things gives us a hit of dopamine (feel good chemical) and makes us feel rewarded. Fear is often the biggest barrier to doing something new. To get around this, start small, make a plan and prioritise fun.
I have recently started doing some public speaking and it has really tested me however it's also exhilarating when you've done it.
Having an escape and a passion is really needed in today's stressful world so my question to you is - What new thing/s are you going to try this month?
