We would just like to say Chris’s life was celebrated today as he was laid to rest, following his wishes, with a small family service at Tarn Moor Woodland Memorial.
If anybody would like to pay their own respect to Chris they can visit the site at Tarn Moor under the old oak tree.
Chris specifically asked for no flowers, so in honour of Chris’s memory donations to Manorlands Hospice would be greatly appreciated, they provided amazing support and service to Chris during his last weeks, as they do to many people with life limiting illness. You can donate following the website below or get involved and sign up to one of their many amazing fundraising events this year.
As a family, we would like to thank everyone for their kind messages of condolence following Chris’s passing, it is comforting to know how loved he was and how many people he inspired during his journey.
We would also like to thank the District Nurse Team, Manorlands, St James staff and all the staff at Crosshills GP all who cared for and supported Chris throughout.

I’m really sorry to tell you that Chris passed away last night. It was peaceful in the end and he had Elle and his close family with him.
We could not be more proud of Chris and his strength of spirit shone through right to the end.
It goes without saying that all our hearts are broken and we will miss him for the rest of our lives.
We would like to tell you how grateful we are for the love and support you gave to Chris and us over the last 20 months.
It brings us comfort to know that throughout his life he knew he had the love of his 2 close families, as Elle’s family loved him like their own, his amazing friends; and his colleagues.
He knew he was blessed by the support of the community and was so grateful for the fundraising and messages of love and encouragement.
We would like to say thank you to you all.
