Sometimes we have to hold clients back so they can spring forward again.

This is especially true with runners who will often want to just ‘test it out’ but actually need to rest and wait.

As a therapist I understand how hard this can be - as a runner I fully understand - as a coach I also ask that the process is trusted 😊

We all want to be 100% pain free and if it takes an extra 48 hours it isn’t too long in the general scheme of things.

Massage can be amazing and give some fantastic results for our clients.

But it’s when we begin to combine the elements in our toolbox that the really magic happens.

This morning I had a visitor who was struggling with humming through their ears - which was more like shouting at times and causing a lack of sleep - which for a mum with children is a tough gig.

She messaged and asked about my ‘voodoo magic’ and could I turn the noise off.

Her gp had suggested ibuprofen and a warm bath….

So after we assessed her first we placed some acupuncture needles in her shoulder, her muscles were so so tight, before using some vibration therapy whilst the needles were working their magic.

We then moved onto a Thai massage with Thai Balm to increase the heat in the muscle and area and further stretch the muscles.

The result was the noise anlehnt from a loud shout to a very low hum that they actually had to focus on to hear.

Hopefully the issue has now been calmed and she can go back to being a mum which is what she does best, but if it does come back she knows where we are 😊
