💚 💥 Amazing news 💥 💚

I am very proud to share that we are a disability confident employer!!

We have been working with Anne Tinker from Hertfordshire Futures at Hertfordshire County Council and she was impressed with our morality, ethics and professional practices.

It is standard for us to make adjustments for interviews, adjustments for people in the work place, check in on peoples well being. We celebrate the diversity out there and know that ultimately will always benefit the children and young people we support. Representation matters!

This certificate really shows that we are trying to be the best versions of ourselves we can be. Our goal is to be better than we were yesterday and that never stops!!

Paul Lavery Support is growing. A massive welcome to Hana Decourcey who has joined us this week. As with all our mentors she brings lots of experience but above all a passion to make a difference!!!

We are growing in the right way, with the right people to do the right thing by our young people!!

💚 Hexton update 💚

My desk went in last week, which meant sofas can go in and start tk make it a real office.

Looking at the view just now made me feel happy and grateful so thought I'd share it!!

Few personal pictures, professional certificates, blinds and the all important coffee beans and il be firing on all cylinders!

💚🥳 Team meal 🥳💚

Paul Lavery Support is growing, but growing sustainably. We are working hard to find the right people who have the same passion we do supporting our most vulnerable in society.

The 9 amazing individuals we employ are certainly amazing.

Friday we performed our supervisions and came together. After they all went out for a meal to share the love and break bread.

Thankyou to Louise mason Clare Griffin Sean Chavangthrup Kat Martin Chloe Loveday Sue Muchmore Paula Wilson Jack Newman & Becka Middleditch for being amazing professionals and fantastic people.

Without you guys there is no PLS 💚

💚 PLS hexton update 💚

While our builder Pat is away at another job work continues.

The sofas and cusions in my new office are in just waiting for the table and I.T equipment and il be ip and running.

Obviously the most important thing it needs is a coffee machine but haven't got round to that yet!!

What i am trying to achieve at both my sites as well as future ones is a sense of calm, high professional standards and comfortability. Whether your and young person learning in a class, a parent coming to view what we offer or a professional seeing what we do ready to refer its the same idea.....

Safe space, Inspiring to be around, comfortable to sit in and fun!!

💚 PLS Hexton update 💚

Most of the work at Hexton is for Positive Expressions but as with our first site in Stevenage, Paul Lavery Support shares each site 50/50.

Pat our builder stops for a month but the PLS area upstairs is coming on really well too.

Very lucky to have a builder who gets it, works hard, high standards and doesn't mind telling me a better way!!

💜💚 PLS & PE RETURNS 💚💜

Although we dont shut down because there is always something to do, most of what we do is now term time.

Our young people may or may not have had a positive break, they may come back anxious, quiet, or they may come back full of beans.

How ever they return we just want them to return. Attendance is importance as we know they are safe with us, we can role model positive behaviours and help them to realise just how amazing they all are!!

💜💚 Message from Paul 💚💜

I'm not religious and dont really do new years stuff anymore as it's another day for the most part for me.

However I am learning about how others view things and feel things. I gave the young people at Positive Expressions and budget for Xmas gifts for their families to show the love.

I dont watch or read the news much either as its negative things for the most part (i mean this with love)

My goals are the same today as they were yesterday but I want to reinforce something.

Please be nice, not just when there's a camera or for social media, let's be nice all the time.

I work in a world where there is so much trauma, pain and suffering that just a small act of 'being nice' can make such a difference.

Sending love to all and hoping for health and happiness for all not just my connections but globally. 💜💜

💚 Paul Lavery Support sign up 💚

Just wanted to clear something up.

I run PLS and PE. PE is going through major change with opening a second site. As such I can sometimes not post as much about PLS and the great work we do, it's just as important and just as needed.

Our new site in Hexton will run in the same way as Stevenage. PE downstairs and PLS upstairs.

We will have class space, kitchenette, and office spaces.

So here's to PLS and the wonderful work our colleagues do daily and the growth we are going through 💚
