Veteran-led, community-driven, and here to reduce isolation and improve lives across Hertfordshire and beyond. The Muster Point is a veteran-led support group in Stevenage, providing camaraderie, guidance, and assistance for ex-service personnel. We host weekly meetups (Tuesdays, 10 AM-12 PM at Fairlands Valley Lakes), offering a safe space to connect, share experiences, and access mental health,

financial, and employment support. With events, workshops, and advocacy, we ensure no veteran is left behind.

The practical support. The graft. Turning up when it matters.

Two busy days at The Muster Point.

Sunday kicked off with the Sunday Muster. Solid turnout, good brews, proper conversations. The kind of space where lads can just turn up, be themselves, and not have to explain anything.
Then straight into today’s Muster… and it’s clear something is building.

More new faces walking in. More veterans hearing about it. More people getting involved.

Word is spreading and it’s spreading for the right reasons.

What stood out today was a visit from the new custodians of the Knebworth branch of the Royal British Legion.

A genuinely refreshing approach.

Not “why aren’t you members?” Not ticking boxes.
Just a simple question: “How can we work together?”

That’s how this should be done.

Because this isn’t about ownership or ego. It’s about veterans. It’s about connection. It’s about building something that actually works.

And right now… that’s exactly what’s happening.
