We’re often asked if we only carry out funerals in Steyning and the answer is no.

While we are proudly based in Steyning and regularly serve families in Henfield, Partridge Green, Bramber, Upper Beeding, Worthing, Lancing, Small Dole, Brighton, Hove, Storrington, Cowfold, Horsham, Ashington, Pulborough and Shoreham, our support certainly doesn’t stop at Sussex.

We have also arranged and conducted funerals further afield, including Guildford, Devon, and even as far as Scotland.

Wherever you are, and wherever the funeral needs to take place, we can help. Whether you would like a local service, a burial or cremation elsewhere, or need support arranging something at a distance, we are here to guide you every step of the way.

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Dorothy Sowerby passed away on 30th December 2025.

A much-loved mum to Eric and Colin , we know Dorothy will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Her funeral will take place at Worthing Crematorium on Wednesday 28th January at 11.30am, followed by a coming together at Steyning Cricket Club.

All who knew Dorothy are welcome to attend and join us in celebrating her life.

With so much direct cremation advertising out there, it’s important to know what truly matters.

We’d like you to know that with us, your loved one is always brought into our care quickly and treated with dignity.

You’ll be told the day, time, and place of the cremation (if you wish), and there will always be a chance for a private and personal goodbye. 🌿

Because even a simple farewell should feel personal.

It is with great sadness we announce the loss of Alan Funnell. Before he retired Alan was a long serving and active member of the local community, parish council, local rotary and Steyning Town FC. His funeral is due to be held Thursday 19th December at 12:00pm, Worthing Crematorium. More details can be found at
