The lead article covers- the tech revolution- how tech impacts human behaviour and relationships
Like it or not- tech is here and it's here to stay. As a younger therapist, it's something I'm probably more comfortable with. I'm aware of the balance between relieving isolation and reaching out to tech such as an AI chat bot, alongside the associated problems this might cause.
So as psychotherapy and how I practice is a human endeavour, how can I embrace technology's presence and demands for how I work to incorporate technology? I guess this Instagram page is my way of engaging with technology by providing information in the form of "entertainment", there's more of a human element- as what I'm writing is written by me- not AI. I don't use any AI in my work, including admin. I've considered it, and have decided it's not for me in its current form.
I recently attended a course run by (the author of the article), on the subject of how to ethically integrate technology into the work. Even by working online and having a social media presence, I'm bending the frame to accept technology. However, am I ready for AI? Not yet. But I can see how it has a place- when used with caution.
