Did you know Saturday 8th November was World Radiographer Day?

At Kings Park Hospital we celebrated our Radiographers and the fantastic work they do every day!

We are also please to announce we now offer MRI services at Kings Park Hospital! With our mobile MRI scanner we have appointments available on Mondays and Tuesdays for patients who require MRI appointments, allowing our patients to have quicker scan times.

Radiographer – MRI (Bank) vacancy!

At the Kings Park Hospital we are looking for a Radiographer – MRI to come and join our team. Duties of the role will include:

• Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., general X-rays, theatre, fluoroscopy, mobiles) following referral and imaging protocols
• Ensure high-quality images are produced to support accurate diagnosis, minimising the need for repeat exposures
• Adapt techniques to meet the needs of individual patients, including paediatrics, bariatrics, and patients with limited mobility
• Provide a safe, dignified, and person-centred service, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable, and reassured throughout their examination

Those applying should be MRI trained. BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification, HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer,
experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment and have a good understanding of IR(ME)R, health & safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality requirements.

Recently it was International Prevention Week.

At Kings Park Hospital we informed staff throughout the week on the importance of infection prevention and then to end the week we had fun with the glow box testing how well staff wash their hands! ✋
