My Wedding Skin Journey 👰🏻✨
Like all brides to be, I knew I wanted to feel confident and glowy in my own skin for our big day — but just like anyone else, I’ve had my own skin goals to work on! My main focus was managing pigmentation, improving skin quality, and addressing subtle volume loss and fine lines (especially around my lower face and mouth).
Here’s how I prepared my skin over the year 👇
💧 Skincare
• I’ve always been consistent with my Obagi-C Rx system — it combines Hydroquinone (to target pigmentation and even tone) with Vitamin C (to brighten and protect against free radicals).
• Daily SPF is a must — the most important step in protecting results and preventing new pigment from forming!
🩸 Medical Microneedling x3 (with Uber Peels)
• Started 6 months before the wedding, spaced monthly (you see optimum results 3 months after final treatment).
• Stimulates collagen and elastin, refines pores, softens fine lines, and helps fade pigmentation.
• The Uber Peel enhances results by further tackling uneven tone and texture.
💉 Anti-wrinkle Injections
• Regularly maintained every 3–4 months throughout the year.
• My go-to areas: frown, forehead, eyes, upper lip lines, downturn mouth corners and chin — keeping everything fresh but natural.
💎 Full Face Rejuvenation (Fillers)
• Treated 3 months before the wedding to allow everything to settle in time for the hen parties and the big day.
• Areas treated: temples, cheeks, under eyes, jawline, chin, preauricular area, peri oral area and lips using Vivacy Stylage and Radiesse.
• Restored gentle structure, balance, and softness.
🖤 Carbon Facials
• Started 3 months before, with my final session 10 days before the wedding.
• A non-invasive laser facial that gives refined pores, smoother skin, and that luminous glow.
✨ Tip: If you’re a bride-to-be, start your skin journey ideally 9–12 months before your wedding. It gives time to build collagen, balance your skin, and perfect your glow for the big day.
