Thanks to our at ’sGroup, residents will soon be putting their winter planning into action and enjoying chat with their S4C friends.

The raised beds within our are used throughout the year by community groups, residents and staff of all ages and abilities. In our it’s not just flowers and veg that we grow - we cultivate conversations and connections and throughout the gardening months friendships grow and flourish🌱

It's often the quieter moments that happen every day at William Simpsons Care Home that really matter. The listening, connecting moments in between the glitz and glamour of the big events and activities. The moments that matter to each individual, whether this is , seeking responsibility by taking on a task, having the time and space to talk things through, or simply being able to get outside and take the air. These are happening throughout the in different ways, every moment of the day and throughout the night time. This is what we do, this is what is all about.

We packed out the cafe for a very special celebration, a party in honour of three special ladies, Liz, Leigh and Anna, who between them have 112 years of caring careers at William Simpsons Care Home! Somehow we managed to keep the planning of this Long Service party a secret, and family members even managed to sneak along for the big 'Surprise!' moment! With the help of local superstar DJ we danced the day away in celebration and song!

A surprise sweet treat arrived earlier in the week... our thanks to who donated these bonny biscuits, chocolate chip cookies and the cutest cupcakes we've seen for a while! They were served with a hot drink, disappearing quickly, leaving no crumbs behind but plenty of residents' smiles😊
