Actively engage, by being honest, vulnerable, and consistent with your attendance. Build on what you are already good at. Prepare for sessions, complete exercises between appointments, and provide regular feedback to your therapist about what is or isn't working. Openly discuss your feelings about the therapeutic process itself, maintain patience with the pace of progress, and build a collaborative, trusting relationship with your therapist. Moreover taking notes, learning about psychological therapy and remaining curious, are all also associated with positive therapy outcomes.
