We cooked up a storm in the kitchen yesterday! Well a Chicken & a Chickpea curry 😋

We also got lots of great tips from Sara who runs a community kitchen in Stirling on how to eat healthy food on a budget.
Next week, our session is all about how to sleep well. If you would like to join us, you can book your space through the following link...

Cari’s Kitchen - Chocolate making with purpose 👩‍🍳🍫

On Monday, we have our monthly hands-on chocolate making workshop—and we still have a few spaces left!

These sessions are open to women in the local community who have direct experience of the justice system, or who are facing barriers to health, wellbeing, or employment.

In a relaxed and supportive space, you’ll have the chance to:

✨ Learn the art of chocolate making
✨ Create your own handmade chocolates
✨ Take home something you’ve made
✨ Build confidence and try something new

No experience needed just a willingness to take that first step.

Because at Chocolate & Grace, we believe chocolate can be more than just a treat it can be a starting point for change.

Yesterday we held our Women’s Health session, focusing on empowering women with knowledge around health, wellbeing, nutrition, mental health, and the importance of self-care. It was a powerful and engaging session with great discussions and participation. Thank you to everyone who came along and shared their experiences 💚

Next week, we’re excited to have a hands-on cooking session 🍲✨
This practical workshop will focus on simple, healthy and affordable meals that support better wellbeing.

It’s a relaxed, supportive space where participants can build confidence in the kitchen and take away real-life skills they can use every day.

This week has been a fun one 🤗

It started with a calming yoga session at our Women’s Wellbeing group on Tuesday and ended with a visit toHMP&YOI Polmont Scottish Prison Service where we delivered a chocolate tasting workshop.

Both sessions received amazing feedback and were a lovely reminder of why we do what we do.

Supporting women to recognise their worth so they can live life to their fullest potential, one positive step at a time 🌱

We hope you all have a lovely Easter and enjoy plenty of chocolate 🍫 😅

We’ll be back next Tuesday at The Cowane with our Women’s Health session, which also coincides with World Health Day.

During the session we'll be discussing all things to do with hormones, the menstrual cycle, menopause & other health issues that impact our day to day lives.

💌 Reach out if you would like to join us.

In our Women’s Wellbeing group this week, we focused on managing stress and anxiety something many of us struggle with in the busy world we live in.

We can often find ourselves caught up in overwhelming thoughts, feeling stuck in our minds and forgetting about the space, calm, and support that exists outside of it.

During the session, we explored different ways to manage stress and bring ourselves back to the present moment. One lovely idea shared by a participant was creating a sensory box — a simple but powerful way to support regulation and grounding.

A sensory box can include things like:
✨ A favourite scent (essential oils, perfume, hand cream)
✨ Something soft or comforting (blanket, fabric, stress ball)
✨ Items that bring positive memories (photos, notes, affirmations)
✨ Tastes or treats (mints, sweets, herbal tea)
✨ Sounds (music playlist, calming audio)

These small, personal items can help soothe the nervous system, reduce overwhelm, and bring a sense of calm when we need it most.

💜 What helps you when you’re feeling overwhelmed?

Next week we continue exploring tools to support your wellbeing with a relaxing yoga class for our mind, body & soul.

From Self-Doubt to Self-Belief our topic in our Women's Wellbeing group yesterday.

We began by setting SMART goals to help us move towards our bigger life goals on our vision boards🌱

We explored how our limiting beliefs and our inner critic can often lead to self-sabotage, keeping us stuck or holding us back from creating lasting change.

Did you know that our brain has around 60,000 to 70,000 thoughts each day and up to 95% are the same as the day before!

This shows why change can feel challenging if we are constantly stuck in a loop of negative and limiting beliefs!

The good things is that our brain is a muscle and can be retrained to be more supportive. However it takes time, patience and practice.

We do not need to change everything at once. We can begin by shifting just 1% and reframing beliefs that are generally other peoples opinions and judgments that we have over time come to believe as our own.

To support our daily 1% change we explored the power of personalised affirmations as exercise for our mind.

When affirmations feel meaningful and reflect our own voice and experiences, they can help build confidence, strengthen self-belief and support us to become our own best friend and cheerleader. 💜

For example Old belief: “I’m not good enough.”
New belief: “I am capable, deserving and more than enough just as I am.”

Here are some more that might feel helpful when your inner critic tries to steal your joy:

⭐ I am worthy.
⭐ I am capable.
⭐ I choose to believe in myself.

Remember real change is a journey. Take one small step at a time.

What are your favourite daily affirmations or mantras? Share them with us and support each other!

Next week we moving onto how we can manage stress and anxiety.

If you live in the city centre area of Stirling get in touch if you would like to join us.

Yesterday in the first of our 8 week Women's Wellbeing sessions we spent some time talking about how we can make positive changes and the power of creating a vision for the future.

Our brains are naturally wired for danger and survival. They are always scanning for problems to solve and ways to keep us safe. While that instinct is needed, it can sometimes keep us stuck focusing on worries, barriers, and what might go wrong.

So yesterday we decided to give our brains a different kind of problem to solve a positive one.

Instead of asking “What if things go wrong?” we asked:

“How am I going to get to where I want to be in life?”

Through creating bright and colourful vision boards, everyone had the chance to think about their hopes, goals, and the life they want to build.

Vision boards help widen our perspective. They allow us to imagine possibilities, focus on what matters to us, and start thinking about the small steps that can move us forward.

It was a powerful reminder that the future isn’t just something that happens to us, it’s something we can shape and the first step toward change is simply allowing ourselves to imagine it. ✨

If you could dream the unimaginable into reality what would it be?
