📊 Research suggests up to 1 in 10 people may experience trauma-related difficulties, including PTSD or Complex PTSD, at some point in their lives.

PTSD and Complex PTSD are both trauma-related conditions, but they can affect people in different ways.

For some, trauma follows a single overwhelming event.
For others, it develops over time through prolonged or repeated experiences.

Understanding how trauma can present differently allows for more informed, compassionate support.

Both are valid responses to difficult experiences, and recovery is possible with the right help.

If any of this feels familiar, confidential support is available.

We are here for you at Mode.

Today is Time to Talk Day.

A day that reminds us how much a simple conversation can matter.

You don’t have to be in crisis.
You don’t need the right words.
You don’t have to explain everything.

You can just start by talking.

Today is a reminder that speaking to someone might feel small, but it can be the moment the weight starts to lift.

📍 Drop in. Sit down. Have a brew. Talk.

Here for each other, today and always.

When one person serves, the whole family carries it.

Through our Family Focus Programme, Mode Rehabilitation offers dedicated support to families of wounded, injured, or sick (WIS) veterans.

Funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, this programme recognises the impact military life and injury can have on the whole family, not just the individual.

If you are supporting a veteran at home, support is here for you too.

Today is Parent Mental Health Day.

Being a parent or carer can be overwhelming, exhausting, and emotionally demanding, even on the good days.

The mental load.
The constant responsibility.
The pressure to hold everything together for everyone else.

And for some, there are added challenges that often go unseen.

Parents raising children while their partner is away serving.
Parents missing milestones because duty calls them elsewhere.
Veteran parents managing their own mental health while still trying to be present.
Partners and carers holding everything together at home through stress, transition, or trauma.

Today is a reminder that all parents and carers deserve support.

At Mode Rehabilitation, we’re here for you.

You don’t have to carry it alone.

At Mode Rehabilitation, we support veterans and their families through life’s challenges, whether that’s navigating life beyond service, managing wellbeing, or simply needing someone to talk things through.

Our approach is practical, compassionate, and grounded in real life, meeting people where they are, without judgement or pressure.

Through our Armed Forces Covenant Family Focus Programme, we support veterans and their families as they navigate everyday challenges, change, and life beyond service.

Because support shouldn’t be complicated, and no one should feel they have to cope alone.

Brew Monday is here! ☕

Today is about the simple act of making a brew and using that moment to pause, reflect, or reach out.

A cup of tea or coffee can create a small pocket of calm. A chance to check in with yourself, or to connect with someone else in a simple, unpressured way.

Sometimes, it’s these small moments of care that make the biggest difference. ❤️

For many in the Armed Forces, service becomes more than a job, it becomes identity, purpose, and family.

So when that chapter ends, it can feel like standing between two worlds…
no longer in uniform, but not yet at home in civilian life.

At Mode Rehabilitation, we understand that space in between.

We support veterans and their families as they navigate change, loss, adjustment and growth, with compassion, dignity and practical help.

Your service mattered.
Your wellbeing still does.

Only one week until Brew Monday ☕

If you haven’t heard of Brew Monday before, it’s a day that falls on the third Monday of January and was created to turn “Blue Monday” into something kinder.

Instead of focusing on feeling low, Brew Monday is about connection, checking in on someone, sharing a cuppa, and reminding each other that you don’t have to go through things alone.

This January can feel long, dark, and heavy for many people. So this is your gentle nudge to make a small plan for next Monday:

- Message a friend
- Call a family member
- Invite someone for a brew
- Or simply sit with someone for 10 minutes

Sometimes a cup of tea and a real conversation can make all the difference.

At Mode Rehabilitation, our team provide more than just services, we provide a safe space, a listening ear, and practical support for people who needed it.

Every conversation, every cup of tea, every moment of compassion helps someone feel less alone. That’s what community-based mental health support looks like in practice.

We’re proud to support the Armed Forces, their families, and the wider Stockport community every day.

The first Monday of the new year can bring renewed energy for some, and quiet pressure for others.

At this time of year, we want to remind people that wellbeing isn’t about instant motivation or perfect plans. It’s about taking things one step at a time and knowing support is there when it’s needed.

If you’re finding the transition from the holidays into the new year difficult, you’re not alone, and help is available.
