Today our senior Optometrist Iain Mellis gave a talk to the primary school children of Mandale Mill Primary School. The children had some great questions about how the eyes work and enjoyed looking inside our model eyes.

👓 Cataract surgery changes lives

Senior Optometrist, Iain Mellis, spoke on ITV Tyne Tees News about the real impact cataracts can have – not just on vision, but on independence, confidence, and even risks like falls and dementia.

Too often, people with other eye conditions such as AMD or glaucoma are told cataract surgery “won’t help.” In reality, it can still make a huge difference to mobility, daily living and quality of life.
