People often ask what cacao paste actually is, when we talk about our ceremonial because alot of people only know about nibs and powder so here’s a simple journey from bean to bar.
It starts with whole cacao beans, harvested from the pod and fermented, carrying the story of the land they grew in.
Once fermented they are dried then cracked open, the outer skins become cacao husks, we use our to be brewed as a soft, heart-opening tea.
Inside are the cacao nibs, raw, earthy, slightly bitter, the pure essence of chocolate in its most honest form.
Those nibs are slowly ground, nothing added, nothing taken away, until they release their natural oils and transform into cacao paste.
Not sweetened or altered.
Just whole cacao carrying its natural fats, minerals, and spirit.
