TENNIS ELBOW

WHY does it come on??

Usually onsets because the forearm muscles are having to work WAY more than they usually would …

The foundations of your elbow are in the middle back and more specifically, around the shoulder blade …

We use these muscles MORE than ever - holding phones - typing keyboards - looking down …

They get wound up - congested - lack good blood flow - and essentially stop helping the rest of your arm with day to day tasks …

THE ANSWER …

Start at the arm foundations … loosen the shoulder blade and ribcage by taking some SLOW, DEEP BREATHS in - targeting the shoulder area of the painful elbow side … home the breath in and stretch the arm out …

Aaaaaaaaaaagh 😮‍💨

Perhaps that’s why you can’t shift it!!

Hip mobility and stability … they rely on each other …

This simple loosener is a great way to get the hips warmed up before you set off running or walking …

Especially given how stiff they get when we sit for soooooo long!!

ARM SWING in Running … is it really that important??

HELL YEAH !!!

This is your 3rd LEG people … the all so often neglected part of running mechanics that will reward your running efficiency way more than you realise …

And this area of your body is as much the Curse as it is the Cure …

We all spend so much time keeping our shoulders tight and stiff throughout the day (holding the damn thing you are watching this on!!) that nowadays …

Death of the Arm Swing

Is an actual worldwide condition that should be medically registered !!!

MOVE THOSE DAMN SHOULDERS PEEPS …

And at the very least … your running will improve!!
