Today at Victoria house, we celebrated Burns Day, Rabbie Burns is Scotland's national bard. 1759-1796.

Rabbie penned the words of " Auld lang syne " sung throughout the world when we welcome a new year in and see the old year out.

Today we had Haggis on the menu πŸ˜‹ accompanied with mashed potatoes. Haggis went down a treat today and the Irn bru was flowing!

A big thank you to our wellbeing coordinator Joe, or known fondly to our residents and visitors as "Scottish Joe" for hosting this lunch.

Some of us went to the Locomotive museum in Shildon this morning.

Interesting to see how train travel has changed over the years, we nded our tour with a cuppa and a kitkat.

Our residents enjoyed what was on show and said they'd like to go back again some day when the weather was better.
