Stable Daze by Mr Eds Shed CIC

Stable Daze by Mr Eds Shed CIC We are an alternative health & wellness centre.

When we set up our private facility, we were quite aware that mental health difficulties did not wait for convenience or state intervention. Therefore our aim was to offer help and whilst the suffer is within any transitional period in provision, we tackle interfering behaviours and provide understanding to those carers who are essential within that sufferers journey. Our programmes are tailored to each client and carer / loved ones requirements on their journey, to offer a holistic approach that educates, supports, empowers and increases self-efficacy to enable them to better manage their illness, so they can take back control. We appreciate that mental health does not discriminate who it targets and who it effects, we have seen this first hand personally. Therefore we wanted to offer a helping supportive hand and guidance through our unique Hippo-pedagogical methodology, which incorporates elements of psychology, philosophy, neuropsychology, yoga and self-soothing strategies delivered by multi-practice professionals (including ourselves), and where necessary commissioned professionals at our facility. Collectively as a team we are dedicated to help people and carers on their journey, we understand 'one size does not fit all', therefore by using this method, we want to help tackle the interfering behaviours in a unique way using nature, a team of professionals who have different skills and abilities, thus showing our clients the horse ability to help through the use of metaphors. All DBS checked, commissioned professionals all registered and / or accredited with one or more of the following organisations, BACP, BPS, HCPC, BABCP, UKCP, BAAT, BADTH, and covered by our own business insurance or their own independent insurance.

Hey

It’s been a while to say the least ☺️

And I won’t even approach how unsettled the country, in fact the world seems to be at present🥹 please look after yourself and each other❤️.

But now I’m here to say, I start my doctorate in Health psychology to be a health psychologist in the new year☺️ and of course it was always going to have horses at its core❤️. I just need you to be involved when I begin.

I’m sure I don’t need to remind you but the Greeks, Hippocrates specifically believed horses helped improve health and well-being, but instead of using them as a prop or for riding to elevate mood and stabilise emotions, but more like an assistant to show how horses manage their own stress and emotions through the vagal nerve, how they are present in all they do, empathetic and compassionate and how mirror neurons play their role☺️.

Sounds techical and I may have lost you in all that😂 but it’s not. We have both just one isn’t accessed as much as they access it.

By using stables daze which is a developmental day and the horse as a physical prop, a safe third other to explain possible psychological and physical health manifestations, there impact and make you understand the possible coping functions or goals the individual behaviour may serve for you☺️. I’ll use this intervention to help people gain a better understanding in a safe space to increase self-efficacy and empowerment, offering long term strategies and guidance to manage these behaviours. I want to help people who find a clinical setting daunting who face many barriers when changing behaviours but want to change and feel safe in the presence of animals in an assisted learning way.

So do you have or know someone who is living with both a physical health (inactivity, obesity, COPD to name a few) and psychological condition, who believes this could be of benefit ☺️. Please reach out and DM me.

Just a recap of what is incorporated into stable daze

Choose a pony to work with, then activities can include⬇️

👉🏾Mindful mucking out
👉🏾Mirror Mirror grooming
👉🏾Emotional play with the horses
👉🏾Horses as good teachers
👉🏾A session ending activity

To eliminate barriers for some people sessions are provided at a reduced cost suitable for financial constraints, as donations only or free ☺️

Any profits made from the stable daze programme, always goes back for the ponies❤️ after all they are the stars ✨of the show.

Come and sprinkle some pony energy into your life 💫

Hello Saturday☺️

Did you know, spending time with horses leads to….

👉🏾reduced cortisol levels: lowering our stress hormones leads to a calmer state of mind.
👉🏾increased heart rate variability: A higher HRV indicates better stress resilience, and horses can help improve this crucial marker.
👉🏾boosted endorphins: physical interaction releases endorphins, our natural mood lifters
👉🏾enhanced oxytocin levels: known as the “love hormone” oxytocin increases during positive interactions with horses, fostering feelings of trust and bonding

These physiological changes contribute to a reduction in anxiety and an overall sense of well-being💜

Interactions with horses can have such a profound effect on our health🫶🏾

Have a lovely Saturday, be kind to yourself.

Hello and good morning,

It’s Friday and this is good for many people ☺️

Maybe investment in yourself is needed now🫶🏾

We need to listen to our body and reconnect more, we have the power to self heal, we’ve either been told otherwise, or forgotten how🥹.

If you can at some point, try and drown out the noise, be present in what your doing, listen to your body.

You will get those intrusive thoughts, it’s normal but when you can sit with them and tell yourself, they are not necessarily true, be uncomfortable in the uncomfortableness 🥴😬to find true inner peace.

Be kind to yourself, and try and not allow the intrusiveness of negative thoughts to ruminate🫶🏾.

Be like our horses…… be present🫶🏾.

Our Cloud showing off her skills⚽️….

Horses are great for helping you to regulate your emotions, stabilise and offer some soothing🩷, but Cloud eases her emotions by having fun and showing off her mouth ball skills😂. Remember, everything horses do is done with intention 🫣

Have a lovely Thursday everyone 🫶🏾
