We had our final fitness class of 2025 with the wonderful Chris this morning and what a class it was! 💪🏻 Chris did a ‘fitness advent’ with us, where we chose a Christmas tag with a number on it and that number decided which exercise we did ☺️ We did throwing, catching, grip training, balance training and best of all we had loads of fun ❤️ A huge thank you to Chris for all you have done for our residents this year and we can’t wait to continue with our seated fitness sessions in 2026 🏋🏼‍♂️

What a wonderful time we’ve had today with an extra special Christmas afternoon tea! 🎄 Jade made so many incredible treats from cheesecakes, rice crispy treats, chocolate cakes and then a whole host of savouries such as finger sandwiches and pork pies 😍 It was a fantastic event with family, fun and laughter and it was so nice to see so many familiar faces joining us! A huge thank you to Jade for all of your hard work making this afternoon tea special for our amazing residents ❤️

On Friday we had another beautiful visit from Ang and Reg the therapy dog 🐾 Everyone had wonderful smiles on their faces when they saw them and had a Reg cuddle and a good natter with the lovely Ang ❤️ Our last visit from our little furry friend is on Christmas Eve for a morning of Christmas fun 🎄

Today we celebrated our wonderful lady, Pauline by naming her our resident of the week! ❤️ Pauline chose a gorgeous meal of fish and chips with mushy peas and tartar sauce, chocolate cake and cream, cherryade and mini chocolate cakes for a snack 🍽️ She’s had a great day so far with a visit from Reg the therapy dog this morning, then her lovely lunch and now a relaxed pamper afternoon to follow 💅🏻

Have you completed our ‘getting to know you’ pack yet? 💭 our 3ab Care ethos is to provide exceptional excellence to every one of our residents, and we achieve this by having a person-centred approach to everything we do. Getting to know our residents is vital to ensuring that we offer the highest standard of care possible, and these new packs are an extra way of helping us do just that! They are full of lots of different questions that help us learn about the amazing people we have in our home, from special memories they have, their favourite places to visit, how they like their hair done and even how they take their tea ☕️ We encourage you to fill these packs out collaboratively with your loved one and then we can use the information provided to personalise the care we offer to your loved one ❤️ If you have not yet completed one of these packs, please speak to Lauren or the management team in the home who will give you a copy and then return it to us once you have completed it - thank you 🎄

A quick reminder about our ongoing Christmas fundraiser where you have the chance to win one of these incredible hampers! 🎄 These hampers are truly the best ones we’ve ever been able to offer, filled to the brim with festive treats for you or a loved one ❤️ There’s everything from Laura Ashley, Elizabeth Arden, Soap and Glory, Yankee Candle, Nivea and so much more! ✨ Tickets are 50p each or £2 for a strip of 5, just pop your money in the donation tin, write your name on the tickets and place them into the jar, no need to keep hold of your tickets ☺️ Winners will be chosen on the 17th of December during our first ever Christmas light switch on 🎅🏻

We are so excited to invite you to join us on the 17th of December for Westcroft’s very first Christmas light switch on! 🎄 We have been working hard behind the scenes to make this Christmas our most magical celebration yet and one way we’re doing that is by transforming our garden into a winter wonderland for our residents ☃️ We are going to have an afternoon of fun, music, festive drinks, Christmas treats, sparklers and so much more! We can’t wait to make more special memories with our incredible residents and their loved ones 🎅🏻 All money raised during the Christmas light switch on will go into our residents fund to help fund an amazing year of activities in 2026 💚
