💙 Thoughtful discussion 💙 This post is circulating on social media highlighting the importance of a funeral service, a traditional way of mourning your special person, however with the rise in direct/unattended cremations, the process of grief, acknowledgement, closure and reflecting on a life does limit this journey. This is why, at W.R Bettelley, we can offer chapel visits for those wishing to say goodbye if they have chosen a direct cremation, we can conduct a small service within our chapel of rest prior to the direct taking place and we can offer support and guidance for a memorial/celebration of life service after the cremation.

We can still make a direct cremation personal. We can still offer that support, time and care as well as offering uniquely tailored traditional funerals. We are there for you 💙whichever your choice may be 💙

If anyone can share or donate (even the smallest amount would mean the world) in memory of Nick Gibben, to help his beloved family and children he has left behind suddenly, it would be so appreciated. Forever 39, to his wife, children, family and friends he leaves behind, our sincerest condolences to them and hope people can donate just to make this unbearable time a little easier 💔.

Our handmade knitted hearts are a simple, yet sacred and dignified touch we place in a loved ones hands, if they have chosen a direct or unattended cremation, with visits in our chapel of rest. Some choose to not visit in our chapel.

Here at W R Bettelley Funeral Directors we have seen an increase in marketing activity from some national direct cremation providers.
Many people aren’t even aware that their local independent funeral director offers the same direct cremation services, let me assure you that this is something we have always offered.

What makes us different?

Our team of qualified staff all live and work in our local community.
Our team are here to guide and support you and your loved ones.
Your loved one will be transferred into our care at the earliest opportunity, and they will remain in Stoke on Trent with us until the cremation takes place.
Our non-attended cremations are carried out at a crematorium of your choosing within days of the paperwork being completed and the ashes returned in the following days.
We can arrange for your loved one to be dressed in their own clothing and you can visit them in our chapel of rest.
