🌼 International Women’s Day 🌼

Today we’re celebrating the brilliant women who make up our Brighter Futures community... our customers, our colleagues, and the partners we work alongside every day. Each of you plays a part in creating safer, stronger, and more supportive places for women across the city.

We’re proud to offer our female‑only housing pathway and Orchid Women’s Services, giving women space to feel safe, listened to, and supported in moving forward.

💛 Tomorrow we’ll be hosting a brunch at Orchid’s Drop In to bring people together and celebrate the women who inspire us.

It's been a creative and busy time over at Orchid House! 🌺

The ladies have been enjoying lots of arts and crafts, spending time designing handmade cards. The kitchen has been just as busy, with lots of baking resulting in lots of cupcakes which look amazing! 🎨 🧁

We can't wait to see what they get up to next 🌟

We hope everyone enjoyed Pancake Day yesterday! 🥞

Our pancake stations were fully stocked across all of our sites, and it was great to see so many customers getting involved. We’re especially loving these photos of some of our community-based customers at The American!

And as we wrap up Pancake Day, we’re sending our best wishes to everyone beginning their 40 days of Lenten reflection 💙

We’re looking for a very kind barber to help us and offer free haircuts to people experiencing homelessness at our Hanley Connect Hub 💈

For many of us, a haircut is just a fresh trim but for someone on the streets, it can mean confidence, dignity, and a renewed sense of hope 🌟

If you or someone you know would like to volunteer, we’d love to hear from you.

It’s , and we’re proud to support our partners at Mind in opening up conversations about mental health💙

Talking openly and honestly can be the first step toward better mental health, for ourselves and the people around us.

Mind has shared some simple steps to start a supportive conversation:
❓️ Ask open, non‑judgmental questions to give someone space to share how they're feeling.
👀 Use small verbal cues like “I see” or “What happened next?” to show you’re actively listening and that their words matter.

Every conversation has the power to break stigma and help someone feel less alone.
