🌍 World AIDS Day – 1st December 2025 🌍

Today, we join people around the world in marking World AIDS Day — a time to show support for those living with HIV, remember those we’ve lost, and raise awareness about prevention, testing, and treatment.

There are now more effective treatments than ever before. With the right care, people living with HIV can lead long, healthy lives — and treatment also prevents the virus from being passed on to others.

💬 Did you know?

HIV can affect anyone, but stigma and misinformation remain major barriers to testing and treatment.

People living with HIV who are on effective treatment cannot pass the virus on — known as U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable).

Regular testing is quick, confidential, and free through the NHS.

🩸 Take control of your health:
✔️ Get tested – early detection saves lives.
✔️ Practice safer s*x and know your HIV status.
✔️ Support those living with HIV – challenge stigma.

You can find free, confidential testing and information at 👉 www.tht.org.uk
or through your local s*xual health service.

Let’s work together to create a future free from HIV stigma. 💪

💚 Today we remember and support Survivors of Su***de Loss Day 💚

This day is dedicated to those left behind after losing someone to su***de. It’s a time to acknowledge grief, share stories, and remind survivors that they are not alone.

If you are grieving:

- It’s okay to feel however you feel — sadness, anger, confusion.
- Reaching out to support groups, friends, or professionals can help you through the journey.
- Sharing memories and stories can be healing.

Let’s stand together to honour loved ones lost and support those left behind.

🌿 Stress Awareness Week 2025 – 3rd to 7th November 🌿

This week is Stress Awareness Week, a time to pause, reflect and talk about something that affects us all — stress.

Stress is a normal part of life, but when it builds up, it can take a real toll on both our mental and physical health. From tiredness and headaches to anxiety and poor sleep — the signs can show in many different ways.

💬 The theme for this year is “Optimising Wellbeing Through Strategic Stress Management.”
It’s a reminder that small steps can make a big difference — whether that’s taking a short walk, talking to someone you trust, or setting aside time to rest and recharge.

💚 Here are a few simple ways to manage stress:
✅ Take regular breaks and spend time outdoors
✅ Stay connected – talk to family, friends, or colleagues
✅ Practice mindfulness or deep breathing
✅ Get enough sleep and eat well
✅ Ask for help when you need it – you’re never alone

Let’s use this week to check in with ourselves and with others. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, please reach out to your GP practice or visit the NHS website for advice and support.

💬 Together, we can break the stigma and make talking about stress a normal part of everyday life.
