Clinics at both Horsleys Green & Watlington Dr's surgery up & running this week. And remember, although we commonly treat backs, necks and the axial skeletal system generally, we also treat other symptomatic joints and areas as well.

🔴 RE-OPENING OF CLINIC 🔵

I hope you have all stayed well over the last few months. This posting is to say that as of this week I’ve restarted my clinical practice for face to face consultations and treatments. I am operating under very changed circumstances, so new hygiene precautions will be in place. These comply with advice from our professional associations and NHS guidelines, to protect patients, practitioner and wider society as much as we reasonably can. I anticipate that it may be a little strange at first, but we already think and behave very differently compared to a few months ago.

My priority is to give effective treatment, but also to provide a safe clinical environment, within the context of heightened biosecurity and protection. I hope the above information is of use, if you have any queries or need an appointment, call or text.

An offer to local NHS frontline staff.

A free Osteopathic consult/treatment in Horsleys Green (10 mins from High Wycombe). I am mindful that you will probably be doing shift work; I will do my best to accommodate this.

I am offering this as a thanks to our NHS staff who are on the frontline of this pandemic, but also in response to a video that went viral of an ICU nurse completely distraught because after a 48-hour shift, she couldn’t find any food on the supermarket shelves. I want to put something back and support local NHS staff as best as I can.

As a final note, please rest assured that health and hygiene are of the utmost concern to me at this time, and accordingly I am operating with heightened awareness with regard to protecting the health of both my patients and myself. I will be constantly reviewing this with reference to government and governing bodies policies and advice.

Today’s the official start of spring when we can enjoy the promise of warmer days, and hopefully a lot less wind and rain!

If you are planning on getting out into the garden for the first time this year, take it easy. Gardening involves a lot of bending and you can easily end up doing too much without realising it. Do some gentle stretching both before and after your gardening session and only garden for 20-30 minutes at a time.

And if you do end up with back pain that won’t go away, give me a call.
