🐑 More Sheep Than People…
But That’s Why We Need You! 🚑
Join Yorkshire Ambulance Service as a Volunteer Community First Responder in North Yorkshire & The Yorkshire Dales
North Yorkshire is the largest geographical area in Yorkshire, Vast, Beautiful, and Remote.
But despite its size, it has one of the lowest volunteer counts in our department.
That’s not because people don’t care, it’s because it’s harder to reach them.
In fact, the sheep-to-human ratio here is higher than anywhere else in Yorkshire!
🐑👤 Yet, our volunteers in this region consistently deliver some of the highest hours of service across the county. Their dedication is unmatched, however, to support every community, especially in the most rural corners, we need to double our volunteer Community First Responder numbers.
Next month, I’ll be running the largest CFR training course since I joined YAS in 2022.
While other areas regularly host large courses, this is a big moment for North Yorkshire — and we want YOU to be part of it.
💚 Do you have 20 hours a month available to be on Call?
If you live in North Yorkshire or The Yorkshire Dales and want to make a real difference in your community, this is your chance to:
• 🚨 Respond to emergency calls, many times before an ambulance arrives
• 🫶 Provide life-saving care and reassurance
