Me and Mum visited St Michael's Church this week to decorate our tree ready for the Christmas Tree Festival this weekend! The Church is open until 3pm today, and there are lots of beautiful trees for you to have a look at.

Our memorial tree is now up in the funeral home! Anyone that would like to write a message on a bauble for a loved one, please get in touch and we can arrange this. Also, the baubles will be available at our memorial service ❤️

Hello everyone ****Parking*****

If you are attending Flicks ‘Party’ tomorrow and are driving, here are parking details…..

We have a small carpark at the side of the building and additional at The Holy Inadequate the pub at the end of the road. Please do NOT park on the accountants next door. There is very limited on street parking.

If you can, please car share - there is additional parking a 10 minute walk away at Festival Park but please check if there are charges. (Is looking like a sunny day)

And remember……..fanciest outfits!!!!

Last week, I had a visit from the lovely Pete At Jc Walwyns from our traditional coffin supplier J C Walwyn & Sons. The factory is in Ashbourne and the staff hand deliver our coffins to make sure they arrive in pristine condition. I can always rely on their quality and they're a lovely bunch to work with! 😊

Suddenly passed away on 5th November 2025 at Royal Stoke University Hospital, John aged 67 years. Dearly loved Husband of the late Shirley, cherished Dad to Hayley, Dan, Sam & Leo the dog, caring Baldy Grandad to Macauley, Michaela, Amelia, Mollie-Mae, Joshua, Isaac & Lewis and a dear friend and colleague to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

It was a privilege to lay a wreath at both of the Remembrance parades in Walton and Stone on Sunday. Today we join the nation in the 2 minute silence to remember those that gave their lives for peace.

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."

JOHN PETER LOCKLEY 💙

Who took his final breath on the 23rd October 2025 at the Royal Stoke University Hospital surrounded by the love of his Niece.

John was a well known resident of Stone, residing there for almost the entire 71 years of his life, a love of poaching, fishing and a great humour he had many friends. He'll forever live on through memories and the love he shared and will be greatly missed by those that loved him.
