We’re looking for a friendly, reliable part-time florist to join our lovely team and become part of our little family 💐

Hours:
🕘 Monday 9–1
🕘 Saturday 9–1
➕ More hours available in the future
(Flexibility required)

You must:
✔️ Have florist experience or training
✔️ Be 25+ (insurance purposes)
✔️ Hold a clean full driving licence
✔️ Be confident driving a small van
✔️ Be flexible to work weekends, bank holidays & busy seasons
(Valentine’s, Mother’s Day & Christmas)

The role includes:
🌼 Making bouquets & conditioning flowers
🚐 Deliveries
📞 Customer service (in person & phone)
🧼 General shop cleaning & washing buckets
☕ Making a good cuppa!

As we look ahead to 2026, we take a moment to reflect on the year that has passed.

I am truly grateful to the families who trusted me to care for their loved ones; it has been an honour and a privilege to support you during such meaningful moments ♥️

I also want to thank the entire funeral team for their compassion, dedication, and care. Bearers, celebrants, drivers, crematorium and cemetery staff to name a few!

And my family for their constant love, patience, and unwavering support throughout the year ♥️

Me and Mum visited St Michael's Church this week to decorate our tree ready for the Christmas Tree Festival this weekend! The Church is open until 3pm today, and there are lots of beautiful trees for you to have a look at.

Big thank you to Mum for her gorgeous decorations!

For anyone attending Flick's farewell tomorrow, please see the notice regarding parking ❤️

Hello everyone ****Parking*****

If you are attending Flicks ‘Party’ tomorrow and are driving, here are parking details…..

We have a small carpark at the side of the building and additional at The Holy Inadequate the pub at the end of the road. Please do NOT park on the accountants next door. There is very limited on street parking.

If you can, please car share - there is additional parking a 10 minute walk away at Festival Park but please check if there are charges. (Is looking like a sunny day)

And remember……..fanciest outfits!!!!

Last week, I had a visit from the lovely Pete At Jc Walwyns from our traditional coffin supplier J C Walwyn & Sons. The factory is in Ashbourne and the staff hand deliver our coffins to make sure they arrive in pristine condition. I can always rely on their quality and they're a lovely bunch to work with! 😊
