If you want to go three steps forward, you have to go three steps deep. โ€“

When I heard this on his podcast On Purpose, I immediately thought about how relevant this is to Pilates. (and anything in life really).
Progress isnโ€™t about rushing to the flashy exercises. Itโ€™s about going deep with the fundamentals, really feeling the muscles working in all the right places
If we skip that, we will eventually hit a roadblock and have to go back to basics anyway.
We know that the same applies to life outside the studio. Whether itโ€™s work, personal goals, or just everyday growth, it all starts with good sleep, good nutrition and taking care of our body and mind.

Sometimes we have to slow down to go fast, and the more willing we are to go deep, the faster we can progress.

Thanks for nerding out with me. You know I like to ponder about things, and I truly believe Pilates is a thinking personโ€™s exercise.
