Be true to yourself, no matter the influences around you. You are allowed to grow into a bigger vision for your life. We are here to evolve. Be proud of yourself for the self-love that nourishes your expansion.

At the same time, this can be uncomfortable for some people, sometimes even those closest to you, who are used to seeing you in a certain way.

But don’t let their discomfort hold you back. You can have empathy for any fears this may raise for them, but be kind to yourself and stay true to you. If they are open to it, the joy you are moving into can ripple out to include them too.

Society’s definition of success does not have to be yours. Success is always uniquely personal. And so it must be. We are all completely unique individuals with unique talents, abilities, interests, backgrounds, relationships, and opportunities. This is why we cannot ever allow anyone to dictate to us what our measures of success should be. No one else is us. No one else is the same as us.

We make decisions and choose ways to measure success that we feel are right for us, that are aligned to our values, to what WE deem is important.

But... it is very easy to then start projecting those decisions onto others. The thing is, everyone’s situation is unique. Everyone is not meant to be the same or make the same choices. Success is deeply personal.

Understand that your measures of success will change as you go through life. Embrace change. Don’t be afraid to be wrong, to pivot, even to fail. That’s all part of it. Keep learning and growing and make sure your measures of success adjust as you do.

And make sure that you are in charge of your measures of success. You are moving forward - to a state where you like yourself, you like what you do, and like how you do it.

So, focus on what you CAN do, focus on what you are moving into. Internally source your happiness, and take some steps. Appreciate how far you’ve come, and that you are already on your path to success as you define it. And… don’t forget to have some fun along the way :)
