🇳🇬 Some of our Nigerian staff treated us to a wonderful display of their culture yesterday, sharing lively dance, 💃🏻 music and traditional dress, 👗 🎶 and we enjoyed sampling delicious Chin Chin and Puff Puff lovingly prepared by our very own Lara. The residents made their own contribution by making Nigerian flags to wave 🇳🇬🇳🇬

We have made the decision to postpone the Bingo Night due to the adverse weather forecast for this week. We will reschedule sometime in the New Year 😊

Also this week, some of our residents braved the weather 🌦️ for a lovely walk down to the river 🚶🚶🏻‍♂️ (with many thanks to our volunteer Brian for supporting the walks 🙌🏻). We enjoyed our weekly trip to Knit and Natter at St James 🧶—quickly becoming a firm favourite for several of our ladies—and the residents created some beautiful cards for a staff member who has just welcomed a gorgeous baby boy 🩵💙🤍.

We enjoyed a wonderful Wednesday afternoon with the talented Dougie Reid, who filled the room with music and smiles. 🎸 His guitar performance had everyone tapping their feet and joining in with familiar favourites. 😁

This morning, some of the residents joined the Remembrance Sunday Parade and attended the service at Dunnottar Church. ⛪️ Afterwards, we received a warm welcome at the Legion 🇬🇧 for soup, sausage rolls, and a well earned pint. 🍺 It was a privilege to represent our home within the community. ☺️

ADVENT CALENDAR RAFFLE!! 🌲

This year we are raising funds for our care home Havencourt Care Home residents comfort fund!!

Who would like to be in with a chance of winning this amazing Lush Bath Bomb advent calendar? 🙋🏽🙋🏽

Numbers 1-125 and it’s £2.00 a number. All money raised put towards residents comfort fund. Raffle will be drawn when all numbers are taken!!

Money can be handed in to Havencourt Care Home or bank transfer is also available (I will message you details)
