Hello, welcome to Wednesday & to our final prompt of our Mindful Festive calendar, to day 31 🎄
tonight we take the first step across the threshold between the old year & the new - an ending & a beginning at the same time - an out breath to let go & an in breath to let in
thresholds can be wonderful opportunities to pause, to stop & to be intentional about both what we’re leaving behind & what we’re stepping into
thresholds offer us the chance to shift, to change & to slowly begin again - not anew but forever changed by our experiences from the year before - older, perhaps wiser, still standing, soaking up the joys, the challenges, delights, the beauty, breathing it all in
we’ve spent the last few days gently reflecting about the year that almost was. now, in these final moments of 2025, perhaps shift your focus a little to the year that waits in the wings
🎄begin to think about what you might need from 2026
🎄begin to think about how you want to feel
🎄begin to think about what might be important to you this year
🎄begin to think about a word that might guide you through the next 12 months, what might that word be? ask yourself, where am I needing inspiration in my life? ask yourself, what do I need to motivate me, to support me?
🎄if a word comes to mind, write it down where you’ll see it regularly & begin to think how your word might influence & support you throughout 2026. how might you take your word & use it to guide you each day, each week & each month throughout the brand new year?
there’s no pressure to do anything apart from ask the questions, listen for the answers (if there are any), take the first step & begin….
