so…you’re interested in mindfulness but not sure where to start?

I’m a qualified mindfulness teacher & coach who’s been practising & teaching for over 12 years - my weekly sessions are the easiest way to get started with a mindfulness practice

I run a membership of gorgeous folk who take time each week for themselves. together we press pause on the outside world for 45 chilled minutes at the start of the week & as the weekend begins

meeting twice a week via zoom on Mondays @ 6pm & Saturdays @ 8am - you get to join from wherever you are in the world & whatever you’re doing - you just need a device, a WiFi signal & there’s no pressure to speak or to have cameras on

the practices are recorded & you can access them anytime from my Google drive - you’ll also get access to my back-catalogue from the past 4 years - there’s loads to choose from

send me a DM or get in touch via my website for details of how to join - I’ll also pop the link on stories & in my bio

check your emails & inboxes - the invites for today’s session went out earlier to my membership

not on my membership list just yet - check out my next post for more details on our March sessions & how to get involved - be great to see you x

27/28 of little February moments

I’m so glad I get to live near the sea

I was born by the sea, on the South coast of England

and lived for many years in the West Midlands but never felt settled - something was just, well, off…..

it was only when we came to live in Stonehaven that I realised what had felt unsettling all those years - I need to see the sea. it’s not a nice-to-have, it’s an essential, cannot live without - a deep yearning to see the edge of the land & the ocean stretched out to the horizon

along the beach, dotted randomly, there are the most beautiful sculptures - this is one of them, including a hidden Stick-Man, just gorgeous x

what’s your little moment today?

hey, welcome to Friday & to day 27, our penultimate day of our Feel-Good challenge - daily random prompts to give ourselves a much needed boost & simple, mindful ideas to look after ourselves.

and today we’re going to do one of my top mindful past-times - watch a favourite movie

watching movies is such a wonderful social activity. it’s also incredibly mindful - become absorbed in something for over an hour, staying present & enjoying the experience. having four kids, I’ve watched a LOT of movies & our family love them - we have many, many family favourites - ones where we know the plot inside out & watching them feels familiar & comforting, we know when to cry & we know when to laugh

science tells us that rewatching a favourite movie lets our brains settle & that, instead of scanning for dangers or threats, our nervous systems can rest & enjoy the moment. so today, take yourself off to the cinema or rewatch a family favourite at home - I’ll be sharing my favourites on stories later, let me know yours!

thanks so much for liking, for sharing & for following along with my Feel-Good February challenge, more later, Sxx

hi, welcome to Thursday & to day 26 of my Feel-Good February challenge, all about reclaiming some of the good in the world act by act, moment by moment

and today, we’re slowing it right down & trying out meditation. there’s so many forms of meditation & mindfulness - there’s literally something for everyone! plus they all come with health benefits from de-stressing to increasing our ability to focus to improving cardiovascular health & boosting our immunity - why not get curious & give one of them a go?

can’t sit still? try a walking meditation, notice the colours around you & tune into nature

struggle to focus on your breathing? try a 5,4,3,2,1 practice - 5 things you see, 4 things you hear, 3 things you touch, 2 things you smell & 1 thing you can taste

get bored easily? tune into your body when you’re at the gym, on the yoga mat or out cycling. notice the warmth in your muscles, relax & tighten them gradually throughout your body

got a busy mind? pop on some white noise & try a visualisation - lose yourself in a chilled world that you get to create whenever you need it

don’t have time? stand still & drop your focus to your feet on the floor. tune into the soles of the feet & anchor yourself for a moment. give yourself a shake & you’re ready to go!

these are just a few amazing practices & there really is something for everyone when it comes to mindfulness & meditation. so today why not get curious & give one of them a go?

PS why not join my weekly mindful community - our practice groups start up again in March & I’m beyond excited for our twice-weekly sessions 8am Saturdays & 6pm Mondays - be great to see you too x

before the thoughts, the planning, the analysis crowded in
I stopped
I paused
I listened

it was a beautful moment to begin my Tuesday - thought I’d share it with you

hi, welcome to Tuesday & day 25 of my Feel-Good February challenge - all about finding the good in the last of these long, winter months

and today’s random challenge is a gorgeous one - one that I’ve been noticing more and more as February draws to a gentle close - the spring birdsong, particularly in the mornings

I love to wake up early, lie in bed a while & just listen. listen to the world waking up around me, to the sounds of nature & to the beautiful songs of the birds as they announce the new dawn & the start of the day

we live in the middle of the woods & we are surrounded by so many different types & species of birds. their unique songs & cheerful tunes are a delightful soundtrack as my day begins

there’s a wonderful app - Merlin by Cornell Uni - that can help tell you which bird is which - why not download it, stop, pause & take a moment to enjoy the beautiful spring birds today

23/28 little February moments

I dreamed of having a garden studio when we moved to our house nearly 28 years ago but we had a young family, bills & a mortgage - the timing was never right for what felt like a dreamy indulgence

and, as often happens, my dream got forgotten for a while but I never quite gave up on it

5 years ago, I started putting a garden studio back on my vision board each year - somewhere to journal, write, see clients & get creative

and I started taking action to make my vision a reality - baby steps, a mood board, a colour scheme

and here we are today - I’m standing in my garden in the evening light. counting my lucky stars that I never gave up on my dream

sometimes dreams take a while to come true - this was well worth the wait

23/02/2026

hello, welcome to the last Monday of February & to day 23 of our feel-good February challenge, how is it even possible that we are almost finished? I’ve been sharing my random challenges all month, how have you got on & how are you feeling as February begins to draw to a close?

I’m feeling so pleased that I’ve managed to stop, to pause & to notice all the things that have helped me feel good this month, there have been so many! and today’s random square is going to help us notice just how far we’ve come - we’re going to celebrate an achievement

often we’re encouraged to focus on the things we didn’t manage to get done, the failures, the losses, the challenges
and whilst it is undeniably useful to help us reflect, to learn & to grow, it can be all to easy to get stuck in a negative mindset so today let’s not forget to celebrate the good stuff too!

all those things that took us ages to achieve
all the hard work that we put into projects that paid off
the blood, the sweat & the literal tears that it can take to get something off the ground
that thing that wouldn’t have happened without your vision & your energy - without YOU!

so today, let’s celebrate an achievement - what do you want to shout about or pat yourself on the back for? I’d love to hear all about it - share away!

taking Grandma duties v seriously
little hands in mine
the tiniest of fingers entwined
on a car journey
holding my hand
little moments don’t get better than this
so glad I noticed

Hi & welcome to day 22 of my feel good February challenge. today’s challenge is about time travelling & sending a letter from your future self

sounds a bit woo-woo? bear with me!
thinking about our hopes & dreams is brilliant
something that super charges our hopes & dreams is writing them down
when we take the time & reflect on what we want, when we write down what we hope to achieve
when we revisit these wishes for the future IN the future
not only does it help us notice how far we’ve come & the distance we’ve travelled - it shows us exactly how much we’ve achieved

so today, put pen to paper or write yourself an email to be opened in the future. imagine yourself opening this letter or reading this email in the future. imagine everything that’s happened, everything that you’ve done. remember you’re the author of your own story - you get to write your next chapter, what will it say?
