Lovely resident Tina wanted to share her penguin experience with residents and staff🐧❤️.

Today finally came for lovely resident Tina to have the wish of her life. 🧞‍♀️💫

To meet a penguin!🐧

Country courts ‘Make a wish’ was granted for Tina, when the well-being team Nicky and Nat, the lovely CRM Laura and the wonderful support from marketing Keeleigh, put their heads together and organised for Tina to have this special experience. From there it was arranged for Tina to think she was having an interview about meeting a penguin and that it had been her wish since she was young. Tina did not have a clue what was about to happen this morning.🤫🤐

When the penguins walked into the library, Tina could not beleive her eyes. She was speechless. When asked if she was happy she replied ‘mega’ then she said ‘it’s overwhelming’.
Tina’s sister, Alison and son Stuart joined her for this wonderful experience and she kindly invited other residents to share the penguins. It was heartwarming and such a joy to see two penguins sitting on Tina’s lap.🐧❤️

Country Court has a wonderful Make A Wish Scheme for all of our residents across our homes.
Today one of our lovely residents has a huge surprise coming. So please watch this space for what happens later. Its gonna be a goodun.

Continuing with the relaxed Sunday, residents gathered into the Dame Alice lounge and enjoyed an all saints church service by Minister Keith and his lovely wife Ruth(one of the receptionists). ⛪️🇻🇦
Keith does an amazing service, with words that residents can take away with them to reflect on. He makes it fun, but also makes it heart warming. ⛪️👼🏼😇

The service is a refreshing start for the next week ahead. ❤️🙏🏻

After a week of beer and pretzels, witches and ghouls, residents wanted to have a relaxing weekend. 🧘🧘‍♂️😌

Resident Stephanie was happy with her Autumn picture. Describing to Stephanie what was in the drawing and pointing to the Autumn fruits would bring back memories of the season. 🎃🍁🍂

Residents and relatives have had a spookylicious afternoon at our Halloween party. 🎃🥳🎉👻

We had witches, Frankenstein, Ironman, slimmer and a beautiful little ladybug.🐞 🧙🏻🤢🤖All ready to play some fun games. 🎳🍩🕺🏻💃🏼With sweets galore.

Residents Guy and Margaret spent the morning using their imaginations to decorate pumpkin’s. Guy decided to carve a scary face with his pumpkin and Margaret, with the help of her daughter used felt tip pens. 🎃🖊️

🎬🕸️ Film Afternoon Fun! 🕸️🎬

Our residents enjoyed a cozy film afternoon this week, getting into the Halloween spirit with a screening of The Addams Family! 👻🍿

There were plenty of laughs (and a few spooky moments!) as we followed everyone’s favorite creepy and kooky family. 🖤💀

A perfect way to spend the afternoon together as we count down to our Halloween celebrations! 🎃🕷️

🎃👻 Halloween Fun Alert! 👻🎃

Our residents had an absolute blast during our Halloween cake decorating session in preparation for Friday’s big party! 🍰🕷️ With plenty of icing, sprinkles, and spooky creativity, they whipped up a frightfully fun assortment of spiders, ghosts, and other ghoulish treats.

It got a little messy (as all the best activities do!), but the laughter and smiles made it all worth it. 💀🧁

We can’t wait to show off these spooky creations at our Halloween celebration this Friday! 🎉🎃

Even though today was spent admiring Christmas decorations, we had a fabulous reminder that it was Halloween on Friday. Residents found it highly amusing and such good fun to pose in the Halloween photo shoot. 📸📷🤳💀👻🎃
