From calming stretches to soothing breathing exercises, everyone left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and ready to take on the rest of the day with a smile.

It was time for fun and games with Margaret, Molly, Norah, Mary, Una and Pam, all wondering what on earth Build a Beetle was about! 🤣😂

“Never heard of it! Never seen it before!” they said… but soon the room was full of laughter, concentration, and plenty of wiggling fingers as everyone got stuck in.

Then we moved on to Stack a Disc – the final prize from our recent coffee morning raffle, and it certainly tested our focus! The concentration (and giggles) were wonderful to see. 💛

A lovely chat in the lounge before lunch with Pam, who was very taken by my crocheted key ring, a little soldier with a poppy on his helmet. ❤️

Pam told us how she used to do lots of knitting and even made the beautiful cardigan she was wearing! Such wonderful stories and skills shared over friendly conversation. 🧶☕

A fantastic morning at Oriel Care Home! ☕🎃

On Friday, we enjoyed a brilliant fundraising Coffee Morning organised by the wonderful Lucy, with plenty of laughs thanks to our mischievous witches and skeletons supplied by Chelsie! 😂🧙‍♀️💀

Families joined in to support the Residents Fund, buying raffle tickets, enjoying coffee and cake, and sharing in the fun.

It was lovely to see Molly, Una and Norah chatting with Molly’s young family, and to welcome relatives and friends from across our community, including Margaret’s family, Muriel’s son and daughter-in-law, Bow’s daughter-in-law, June’s friend Jane, and Steven’s daughter running the Guess the Weight of the Cake competition! 🎂

And of course, Gordon just wanted to eat the cake… who can blame him? 😄

A huge well done to Lucy and the team for raising an amazing £300 for the Residents Fund, and a special thank you to our wonderful cook Michelle for her delicious bakes and a lovely lunch to follow. 👏💛
