What a lovely festive day at Oriel Care Home 🎄✨

Our Christmas raffle brought plenty of smiles, with a lucky dip full of prizes and lots of visitors joining residents throughout the day. It was wonderful to see Bow with his visitors, Muriel spending time with friends and relatives, and Molly and Megan enjoying a proper catch up.

Marion was busy doing a bit of sorting, while Hilda sat back and enjoyed her cake, soaking up the festive atmosphere. With more visitors popping in, there was a real buzz around the home.

When it was time for the raffle to be drawn, the excitement was high. The first prize was won by our wonderful organiser Lucy 👏👏👏👏

A big thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day so special for our residents. 🎁🎅

We were delighted to welcome our friends from St Mary’s Church for our Christmas service at Oriel Care Home 🎄

It was a wonderful start to the service as everyone arrived smiling, with Reverend Claire looking lovely and Reverend John proudly wearing his very famous handmade waistcoat.

Members of the St Mary’s choir filled the room with festive spirit, and the nativity story, read in a Black Country accent, brought plenty of warmth and smiles.

There were beautiful carols throughout, with Len getting ready for his solo, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. After the service, our friends stayed for a chat and a well-earned cup of tea, making the afternoon feel extra special.

A huge thank you to everyone from St Mary’s Church for such a lovely Christmas service. It was truly appreciated by both residents and staff.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you again in the New Year ✨

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas at Oriel 🎄🥳

Everyone has been getting into the festive spirit ahead of our Christmas party on Wednesday afternoon.

Lorenzo had the room swinging, with Kellie and the team jumping in too, and before long there was plenty of singing, dancing and laughter all round 🎶💃🕺

After working up an appetite on the dancefloor, the wonderful buffet was very welcome. Pat, Margaret, Molly and Una were first in line to help themselves, while others were happily waited on by our lovely staff ☃️🎅

And for those who preferred a quieter moment, Hilda enjoyed a peaceful cup of tea and a friendly chat in her room, just the way she likes it ☕💬

We had a lovely time getting creative earlier in the week with arts and crafts, led by Liam 🎨

Residents really enjoyed the session, spending the afternoon painting, crafting and chatting together. It was wonderful to see so much focus, laughter and creativity around the table.

Pam was determined to write her own message and proudly got stuck in. 👏 Barbara was very happy with hers, while Ginny carefully considered her choices before deciding. 😁

Our Saturday creative session was a lovely one at Oriel Care Home, as residents came together to create a beautiful table decoration. 🕯️✨

Candles and cones were carefully crafted and arranged, with everyone getting involved and adding their own personal touch. Molly, Muriel, Norah, Margaret, Una, Marion, Jean and our new resident Pat all did a wonderful job. 👏😊

The finished table decoration was proudly approved by everyone involved, and it now takes pride of place for all to enjoy. 👍👏
