A cosy afternoon at the home as our residents relaxed together watching a Christmas film. Blankets, treats and plenty of festive cheer made it the perfect way to spend the day. Smiles all round and a lovely start to the season. 🎄🎬❤️

A magical evening for Oriel Care Home as we joined the Stourbridge Christmas light switch on. Len, Muriel, Margaret, Betty and our wonderful staff all had a fantastic time soaking up the festive atmosphere, singing along and watching the lights sparkle to life. 🎄✨

A lovely outing filled with smiles, community spirit and Christmas cheer. ❤️

It was craft time earlier in the week with a lovely session called Fun with Feathers. Our residents decorated laminated feathers in all sorts of bright colours and patterns. Molly, Una, Norah, Margaret and Sam all joined in, enjoying the creativity and the chat that came with it.

Another simple, happy activity that everyone could take part in.

Stephen has been keeping busy with a brand new jigsaw puzzle in his room. He always enjoys the challenge, and it’s lovely to see him so focused and relaxed while he works through the pieces.

A quiet moment, but a very happy one.

Our friend Ele popped in last week with her lovely dog Lester, and he certainly brightened up the home. Len was the first on his visit list, and the smile on his face said it all.

Lester brought plenty of excitement to the lounge as he made his way around, checking who was ready to give him a bit of fuss. Betty was especially pleased to see him in the Quiet Lounge, and Gordon and Barbara enjoyed some time with him too as they’re both big dog lovers. June and Toni also had their turn before Lester settled down for a well-earned rest.

A lovely visit that lifted everyone’s spirits.

We were delighted to welcome Reverend Clair and her friend Marjorie for our Holy Communion service. The residents in the lounge are always so pleased to see them, and their visit brings a real sense of calm, comfort and togetherness.

Thank you to Reverend Clair and Marjorie from St Mary’s Church for such an uplifting service. It was truly appreciated by everyone.

A lovely lunchtime scene in Ibstock. Muriel is making her way to the table, while Una, Margaret and Norah are already seated and looking wonderful in colours that match the walls beautifully.

At the next table, there’s a quiet buzz as everyone gets ready for lunch. Sue has been checking whether it’s time to start, keeping us all smiling as we wait.

Simple moments, shared together, make the day.

A lovely afternoon at Oriel as our residents enjoyed looking through some wonderful animal pictures from Hagley.

Barbara, June, Sue, Sheila and Toni shared stories of wildlife they’ve spotted in their own gardens, sparking plenty of memories and conversation.

There was time for a good chat and a comforting cup of tea too. Gordon and Pauline preferred to stay cosy in their armchairs, while Josie enjoyed relaxing with her favourite music.
