What a wonderful evening at our annual wreath-making workshop!

Led by Andrew, of Clifton Streets Flowers by Andrew, guests enjoyed a cosy reception with home-made canapés and a few festive drinks before heading into the cinema to watch Andrew’s inspiring demonstration. Everyone then set to work creating their own beautiful wreaths to take home and proudly hang on their doors for the festive season. We always love welcoming members of our local community into Parkfield Grange, and events like this are a true highlight of our year, thank you to everyone who joined us for such a warm and joyful night!

You may have seen that we started baking our Christmas Cake last week. The design of this is top secret until the big reveal for the Cinnamon Christmas Cake competition

Whilst completing the design we all fancied a little taste so decided to decorate some small pieces of the cake and enjoy it with a cup of tea

We can confirm the cake is delicious and can’t wait to share our design with you

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas 🎄

Work has started on our show stopping Christmas Cake

Residents have shared ideas and decided on a theme and decoration for this years cake which until the big reveal is a closely guarded secret

First step was making our Christmas cake mix. Residents across the whole home got involved to make the large quantity of cake mix needed.

We had our first touch of Christmas at this weeks happy hour with SantaSax himself

Residents enjoyed a foot selection of saxophone music with some festive favourites to sing along too

Residents enjoyed something completely new yesterday - a soothing sound bath!
It was beautiful to see everyone relax, listen, and let the sound waves wash over them.

Led by Andrea, residents closed their eyes and enjoy the sounds from Tibetan Singing Bowls, Chimes and Andreas beautiful voice.

Such a peaceful and relaxing experience that we will definitely be repeating

Our games club are trying out a new game every week.

Our Wellbeing Lead Sam is searching for trending games on social media for us to try. This weeks game was this challenging square game which got very competitive towards the end with everyone trying to create as many squares as possible with their lines

Our knit and natter group are turning their needles towards winter and Christmas

We’ve made a start on some blankets and scarves for those in need and have decided on some Christmas designs for the homes decoration. We are looking forward to the home turning festive in the coming weeks

Last weeks session with the babies and toddlers from Bits & Bobs Playgroup

The smiles and joy these sessions bring to residents speak for themselves. The benefits of intergenerational activities are vast and our residents love seeing and joining in with the children during playtime and singing together at the end of the session…not to mention the cuddles they receive

It was all smiles at our weekly happy hour on Friday with music from the wonderful Michellewilliamsmusic

Residents sang, danced and clapped along to classics from through the years and even enjoyed a couple of festive Christmas numbers

We can’t wait for more festive magic over the coming weeks
