Looking back on the festive period… and yes, we promise it’s still December!

We’ve had so many lovely moments, from seeing our inpatient unit beautifully decorated (with huge thanks to the fantastic Sky corporate team for putting lights up!), to our day patients enjoying Christmas parties filled with bingo, pass the parcel and a lot of laughter.

Even three of our wonderful domestic team: Von, Paula and Deanna got into the festive spirit by dressing up, which is fast becoming a much-loved annual tradition.

That’s not all.. we also enjoyed our final Monday Musings of the year, complete with stockings for everyone, our Santa Jog 2025 which was a huge hit, and a wonderful volunteers’ Christmas party to thank them all for the time and dedication they give throughout the year.

As we look ahead to 2026, we feel incredibly grateful to be part of this beautiful hospice we are proud to call ours. 💙

As we are looking forward to our 2026 events already... we are calling on all of our wonderful supporters!

Our fundraisers would be so grateful for any donations you'd be happy to make, to help us raise funds for our care throughout the year. Unwanted alcohol, gift sets and chocolates can help fund hospice services, now and into 2026. Don’t let it go to waste, let it go to care! 🎁

We would like to send a big THANK YOU to everyone who has come along to one of our Bereavement Hubs or Cafes this year. Meeting you all is such a privilege, and seeing the way you support each other through challenging times, lifting each other's spirits and making new friends is a wonderful thing.

Many people tend to come together with family and friends throughout December to celebrate Christmas. Despite the festivities, we know this can be a particularly tough time of year when you are missing someone.

The Mary Stevens Hospice Wind Phone will be open throughout the Christmas and New year period. It can provide a safe and confidential space to speak their name, remember them and talk about things on our mind. It is a way to feel connected to those we miss.
