🕯️ In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Lee 💔

It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we share the sudden loss of our dear friend and patient, Lee. His sudden passing has left a void in our lives that words can barely capture.
Lee was more than just a patient to us—he was a cherished friend, a gentle giant whose presence filled every room with warmth, laughter, and an undeniable sense of kindness.

We’ll never forget the way he used to settle into the physio bed, a task that was no small feat for someone of his stature. He could barely fit, but there was always room for our „therapy dog” beside him, a testament to his generous heart and his unwavering care for others. His humility was as grand as his strength, and his ability to make everyone feel at ease was something we’ll forever remember.

After his incredible career in basketball, Lee transitioned into the world of strongman competitions, where he was nothing short of a rising star. His strength, dedication, and drive were unparalleled, but it was his spirit—his gentleness, his unwavering positivity—that made him truly unforgettable. He was a true testament to what it means to be both powerful and kind.
💙 Big Lee, you may no longer be with us physically, but your legacy lives on in each of us who had the privilege of knowing you. Rest in peace, our friend. We know you’re up there now, lifting heavy logs and making the heaven a little brighter with your presence and smiling at us saying „I always looked down at all of you” 💔
You will always be missed, but never forgotten. 💔

CANCELLATION POLICY

Like many small businesses we have made the decision since March 2024 to take payment in advance for all appointments booked. We have had to make this decision to protect the business going forward.

PAYMENTS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE ,if appointments need to be cancelled we will hold your money on account for if/when you choose to rebook.
We are unable to take your booking without payment in advance. PLEASE BE AWARE IF YOUR NOT PREPARED TO PAY WHEN BOOKING IN - our reception has no obligation to book you in and any abuse to our staff won’t be tolerated.

Any cancellation made with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a 50% of the appointment fee as a cancellation fee. If you give less than 24 hours’ notice or fail to attend your appointment with no notice the full appointment fee will be charged.

If you cannot attend your appointment, please ring us on 01449 763023 to rearrange or confirm cancellation. If you leave a voicemail the cancellation isn’t confirmed until we’ve acknowledged receipt of the voicemail.

“Without adequate rest, the muscles don’t have time to adapt, stalling progress and preventing improvement.”

“Try to implement other forms of physical activity into your routine, whether that’s playing a game of Frisbee or taking a brisk hike,” said Scott Panchik, a former CrossFit Games athlete.

“Rest can be really hard for some people,” said Arielle Loewen, a professional Cross Fit athlete. “It can be hard to feel like you’re doing enough. It takes a lot of patience.”

Paediatric Physiotherapy

Is it really ‘just growing pains’?? 🤨
Children are NOT just small adults.
They have an immature skeleton and this allows them to grow. When children grow, muscles, bones, tendons and ligaments do so at varying rates. So is it ‘just growing pains’ or can physiotherapy help? A lot of the time, YES physiotherapy can be really helpful. 😆

Here’s why:
When children have periods of growth, the bone grows and the muscles and tendons often become tight and pull on the site of attachment into the bone. The ends of children’s bones are soft (where the growth plate is) and this is important to allow for growth but does present as a risk factor for injury when a child grows.

Some of the common growth related injuries include:
- Severs disease
- Osgood-Schlatter disease
- Sinding Larsen and Johansson syndrome
- Stress reaction of growth plate

A thorough assessment by one of our physio’s will include a conversation about the symptoms being experienced followed by a physical exam to highlight any areas of weakness and tightness that may be contributing to the pain.
