Remember to accept your invite and book your cervical screening test as it could be life-saving.

The screening test can determine whether you have human papillomavirus (HPV) and changes in your cells that could go on to develop into cancer if left untreated.

If you are aged between 25 and 64 it's important to book and attend your screening test and keep an eye out for any signs or symptoms. If at any time you feel something isn't right, don’t wait, contact your GP.

For more info on cervical screening in Northern Ireland, visit www.pha.site/cervicalscreening

The NI childhood immunisation schedule is changing giving even better protection with the introduction of the varicella (chickenpox) vaccine.

From January 2026, eligible children will be offered a combined vaccine for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV) - as part of the routine infant vaccination schedule.

As with other childhood immunisations, parents will be contacted by their GP surgery to arrange an appointment if their child is eligible. If you are unsure if your child is up to date with vaccinations the easiest way to check is to look at your child’s red book or speak to your health visitor or GP.

πŸ”¬Urine Samples Policy πŸ”¬

Due to updated clinical guidelines, we are no longer able to accept urine samples from our patients unless the patient has been asked to provide one by a clinician.

If you feel you have a water/urinary tract infection, please contact us to ask for a call back to discuss the possible infection first.

If the clinician feels a sample is needed, they will ask you to bring one in.

If a patient presents a urine sample to the reception team, the team has been instructed by the doctors to check that the sample has been requested.

If it has not been requested, a phone call between the patient and a clinician will be arranged to clinically assess the situation.

We cannot accept any urine sample that has not been specifically requested.

We cannot store urine samples for reasons of safety and clinical effectiveness.

Any samples left in our samples collection box without clinical approval will not be processed.
