Some members of the Strabane “MUSIC TO
YOUR EARS” mes group attended a Falls Prevention session at Strabane and District Caring Services last week. This event was organised by the Chris from the Strabane Neighbourhood Helath Improvement Project and facilitated by the wonderful Eilish from the Western Trusts Health Improvement Team.

A very worthwhile event for those who attended , sincere thanks to Eilish and to everyone who attended on the day. Working in partnership to support local people.

This week is a reminder that cervical cancer is largely preventable.

✔️ Attend cervical screening when invited – it can detect changes early, before cancer develops
✔️ HPV vaccination protects against the virus that causes most cervical cancers
✔️ Early detection saves lives

If you’ve received your screening invite, please don’t ignore it. If you’re unsure or have concerns, speak to your GP or practice nurse.

Let’s look after ourselves and encourage friends, sisters, daughters and colleagues to do the same. 💪
