We’re looking for a Support Worker to join Strabane & District Caring Services — helping people live with dignity, independence, and a friendly face they can trust.

🌟 Position: Support Worker (Part-Time, 10 Hours)
📍 Location: Strabane
💷 Pay: £12.30 per hour
🕓 Hours: Monday–Friday, between 9am and 6pm
📅 Deadline: 12pm, Friday 27th February 2026

🤝 What You’ll Do:

Provide companionship and befriending services

Assist with shopping, chaperoning, and small household tasks

Offer personal and low-level care based on individual needs

Work collaboratively as part of a caring, supportive team

✅ Essential Criteria:
Full driving licence & access to a car for work

🌟Happy Retirement🌟

After an incredible 23 years of dedicated service, we are saying a fond (and very grateful) farewell to Marie Mc Daid as she retires from SDCS 💙

For more than two decades, Marie has shown unwavering commitment, compassion, and professionalism, making a real difference to the lives of the people we support, their families, and our team. Maries kindness, experience, and steady presence will be deeply missed.

✨ Tower Museum Trip ✨

Our recent Empowered Communities Strabane visit to the fantastic Tower Museum in Derry was a huge success! From the warm welcome by staff to the brilliant Derry Girls exhibit, our participants had an amazing time—many even stepping into their inner Derry Girl 😄
Along the way, they learned about Derry’s past and progress, while seeing the city from a whole new perspective. A great day of learning, laughter, and discovery! 💙

Some members of the Strabane “MUSIC TO
YOUR EARS” men’s group attended a Falls Prevention session at Strabane and District Caring Services last week. This event was organised by the Chris from the Strabane Neighbourhood Helath Improvement Project and facilitated by the wonderful Eilish from the Western Trusts Health Improvement Team.

A very worthwhile event for those who attended , sincere thanks to Eilish and to everyone who attended on the day. Working in partnership to support local people.
