This weekend, Ballybofey celebrates the Frances Browne Literary Festival, honouring one of Donegalโ€™s most remarkable writers. Born in Stranorlar in 1816, Frances Browne lost her sight to smallpox as a child, yet her imagination and determination opened worlds of poetry and prose that continue to inspire today.

In recognition of her legacy, and in celebration of creativity, vision, and community, Gormley Opticians Ballybofey is offering 10% off all designer frames from October 9thโ€“11th.

Itโ€™s our small way of joining the festival in honouring Frances Browneโ€™s extraordinary insight and the literary light she brought to Donegal.

As we wrap up our 30th anniversary celebrations, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us on the day and to all who helped behind the scenes to make it so special. From the laughter and conversations to the smiles we captured in these photos, it truly was a day to remember. ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ‘“

A very special word of thanks goes to Mrs. Love, our very first customer back in 1995. Jean treated us all to a few jokes and was presented with flowers on the day. It meant so much to celebrate this milestone with her. ๐ŸŒธ
