This weekend, Ballybofey celebrates the Frances Browne Literary Festival, honouring one of Donegalโs most remarkable writers. Born in Stranorlar in 1816, Frances Browne lost her sight to smallpox as a child, yet her imagination and determination opened worlds of poetry and prose that continue to inspire today.
In recognition of her legacy, and in celebration of creativity, vision, and community, Gormley Opticians Ballybofey is offering 10% off all designer frames from October 9thโ11th.
Itโs our small way of joining the festival in honouring Frances Browneโs extraordinary insight and the literary light she brought to Donegal.
๐ Gormley Opticians Ballybofey โ proudly supporting local heritage and clear vision for all.
