Acknowledgement
Eileen Porter.
Died 26th October 2025
9 Innisfree Gardens, Strabane. Co. Tyrone.

We, the family of the late Eileen Porter, wish to express our gratitude to all who supported us during our recent bereavement. We are deeply touched by the many who took the time to remember our dear sister Eileen, offered kind words, shared memories, and helped us both, celebrate and grieve our great loss.

Thank you sincerely to all who attended the Funeral Mass and burial, to those who visited the house during the wake, and to the many who sent Mass cards and messages of condolence and support.

Our heartfelt thanks to our extended family, neighbour's and friends who traveled from far and near. Your presence, your respect, and your generosity were an immense comfort to us all during and after the traumatic event. We are especially grateful to all who helped in practical ways—bringing food, preparing & serving tea, caring for visitors, supplying chairs, and helping in many ways that can only be described as selflessness and caring.

A special word of thanks to the businesses within the community from which offered support, help and assistance from the outset which helped ease the organizing of logistics and support.

We would like to thank those who attended and cared for Eileen after her passing and helped with professionalism and compassion towards Eileen and our family, it was very much appreciated. You all are truly “un-sung heroes”. Thank you!

We extend our gratitude to Fr Michael McCaughey, Fr Declan and Fr Eugene Boland for their spiritual guidance during Eileen’s wake, offering support, prayers and for the beautiful Funeral Mass and burial that honoured Eileen’s life.

Thank you to Ciara for the music that enriched the ceremony, and to all who participated in the Funeral Mass.

A special thanks to Jude Maguire and Quigley Funeral Directors for your professionalism and support throughout.

Thank you to all who prepared the grave for Eileen’s final resting place.

As it would be impossible to thank you all individually, please accept this acknowledgment as our heartfelt appreciation.

Deeply regretted & appreciated by her sorrowing brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and family circle. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

DUFFY
Rosaleen

4th Anniversary - 15th January

In Memory of a Loving Wife and Mother

A bouquet of beautiful memories,
Sprayed with a million tears,
Wishing God could have spared you,
If just for a few more years.
It does not take a special day,
For us to think of you,
Each Mass we hear, each pray we say,
Is offered up for you.

We cannot bring the old days back,
When we were all together,
The family chain is broken now,
But memories last forever.

May she rest in peace, Dear Jesus,
In thy heavenly home above,
With the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
In His own eternal love.

Along the road to yesterday,
That leads us straight to you,
Are memories of happy days,
That together we once knew.
A silent grief that’s in our hearts,
No human eye can trace,
For our broken hearts are hidden,
Beneath a smiling face.

Sadly missed every day by your husband Charlie,
daughter Carol and son Barry.

Rosaleen's 4th Anniversary Mass will be celebrated
in St. Mary's Church, Melmount on Saturday 17th January at 7pm.
