The family of the late Dessie Harte would like to express their sincere thanks to all those who offered sympathy, support and kindness during our recent bereavement.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, messages, and flowers,
and to those who attended the wake and funeral or joined via livestream.
Your presence and support meant so much to us at this difficult time.
A special word of thanks to the Management and staff at Archview Lodge, Letterkenny,
for the care, compassion and dignity shown to Dessie throughout his time there.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the carers of the Wheelchair Society who looked after Dessie over the past number of years prior to his time in Archview Lodge. Their dedication, kindness and exceptional care will always be remembered.
We would like to sincerely thank Father McCaughey for his support and for leading such a beautiful and meaningful funeral service, and Father Boland for his guidance and kindness.
We are especially grateful for the continued support shown to our family over the past 14 months, which has not gone unnoticed.
Our heartfelt thanks to Jude Maguire and staff of Quigley’s Funeral Home for their exceptional, professional and compassionate service provided throughout the wake and funeral. Having supported our family so recently, their kindness, understanding and guidance during this time meant more than words can express.
We would also like to thank those who prepared Dessie's final resting place, allowing him to be laid to rest beside his beloved Annie May. It brings great comfort to know they are now reunited.
A sincere thank you to Geraldine Van Beck for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support. From providing chairs, tablecloths, and trays, to always being someone we can rely on, her thoughtfulness and neighbourly spirit will never be forgotten.
We would also like to extend our appreciation to Lifford Courthouse and their staff, who kindly opened on Easter Monday and provided such beautiful food and service. This thoughtful gesture did not go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated by all.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Aidan and all the staff at Old Daly’s, Lifford, for their kindness and generosity. The beautiful trays of sandwiches provided, along with the additional food the following day, were greatly appreciated by all. We are especially grateful for the respect shown to Dessie as the funeral procession passed the shop, a gesture that meant a great deal to our family.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually,
please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our sincere gratitude.
May Dessie's gentle soul rest in peace.
Dessie's Months Mind Mass will take place at St Patrick's Church, Murlog
on Saturday 2nd of May at 6.30p.m.
