Come with me to be a patient..... Went for the Himalayan salt stone massage with Fiona tonight and it was absolute bliss. This is Fionas monthly special this month and next. £40 for a 50 minute treatment.

The wonderfully comfy set up, the deeply warming heat of the stones and the added grittiness of the salt stones combined with Fionas masterful massage and gorgeous aromas left my back feeling warm, flexible and very relaxed.

Highly recommend this treatment to anyone wanting to try something a little different or organize a treat for someone special.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 star Rating from me ❤️

▪️Low back pain is very common. More than 80 out of 100 people have this condition at some point in their life. It can be a cause of worry, disability and time off work.

▪️Even though it can be distressing, low back pain is rarely linked with serious conditions. Most of the time, symptoms settle quickly. However, it's common to get pain that keeps returning. In some people, pain can last longer than a few weeks.

▪️There is no one cause of low back pain, but various things can contribute. These are called contributory factors. The factors are unique to you and your situation.

Loving the new video by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy shown on my page about the importance and impact of access to pelvic health physiotherapy

I posted a few days ago about a pelvic health in pregnancy workshop. A number of people have approached me about how needed this is but much less actual uptake.

For years it was my full time NHS job to provide a physio element In routine ante natal care. We also looked at the risk factors of every delivery and arranged routine pelvic floor follow up input if a patient was at higher risk.

There was a designated physiotherapy team of over 40 physio's across the city meaning you didn't wait more than 2 weeks to see someone if you needed it.

The parallel of what was available in Glasgow versus here is very sad. It's no ones fault but care shouldn't be a post code lottery.
Unfortunately in our little rural area physiotherapy is not part of routine antenatal or postnatal care or gynaecology care I dont believe?I for one would really love it if that wasnt the case and we could change the maternity experience for all the mum's in this area. We read all the time about how unhappy everyone is but what can we change? Lets try!

I would now like to provide classes that patients can access to arm themselves with information that works alongside the midwife care they receive so our approach can be PROACTIVE..... Not just REACTIVE once girls are presenting with symptoms pelvic pain, or incontinence and telling me time and time again they wished they had the information sooner.

Let's do better! Knowledge is power.💪🏻❤️🌸.... I would do it in conjunction with anyone who wants to improve things. But i'll start by offering what I can from a private point of view.

Details on first class will be reposted on page.

Class will run on first Wednesday of the month and alternate between early pregnancy and later pregnancy each month.

Happy to switch the first date of 1st October to the later pregnancy if more demand.... And also open to discussion on what we need in our area or feedback.
