📣 Strathaven Weekly Dashboard is Here! (Week Ending Friday 17th of October)

A big thank you to our amazing patients and dedicated team for another busy week at Strathaven!

We believe in transparency, so here’s a snapshot of the care we delivered last week.
In Numbers:

• 382 appointments delivered by our clinical teams 🩺
• 664 prescriptions issued 💊
• 7 home visits completed for our housebound patients 🏠
• Our admin team processed a massive 1,070 items of correspondence from hospitals, labs, and clinics! 📝

How You Can Help Us Help You:

We need your help in two key areas to keep our services running smoothly:

1. Phone Line Congestion: We received 661 calls, with an average answer time of 2 minutes 5 seconds. If your query is not about booking an urgent appointment, please consider calling later in the day!

• Tip: Only 13 patients used our call-back option last week. Using this holds your place in the queue and frees up the lines—please use it!

2. Missed Appointments: Sadly, 4 appointments were missed without cancellation (DNA), resulting in 1 hour of lost clinical time. This is an hour we could have used to see another patient.

• Action: If you cannot attend, please contact us ASAP so we can offer the slot to someone else!

📢 Important Notice: Phone Line Issues

We're currently experiencing a significant outage with our main phone lines. We know this is frustrating, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience it's causing as you try to reach us.

Our network provider is actively working on the issue and is treating it as a top priority. We'll update you here as soon as we have an estimated time for restoration.

📣 Strathaven Weekly Dashboard Update!

We've published our latest Strathaven Weekly Dashboard for the week ending 10th of October 2025! This dashboard gives you a transparent look at our workload and performance in the practice.

A few key stats from last week:
• Appointments: Our clinical teams delivered a fantastic 461 appointments!
• Telephone Calls: We answered 695 incoming calls, with an average answer time of 3 minutes and 4 seconds (a big improvement!).
• Behind the Scenes: We processed 946 items of correspondence (letters, results, etc.) and issued 678 prescriptions.
A huge thank you to the 21 patients who used our call-back option during busy times—it makes a real difference!

A quick but important request: Please remember to cancel your appointment if you can no longer attend.

Last week, 5 missed appointments resulted in 75 minutes of lost clinical time that could have gone to another patient.

Our October newsletter is here, packed with essential updates on our services and important health observances.

1️⃣ CDM Clinics Relaunched: Call to Book Your Review!
Our essential Controlled Disease Management (CDM) Clinics have re-started, with an initial focus on Diabetic Annual Reviews (started Oct 3rd).
If you are due for your Diabetic Review, please contact the practice now to book your appointment! Your review is crucial for managing your health.

2️⃣ Health Observances This Month:
• 🧠 World Mental Health Day (Oct 10th): Remember, it is okay to ask for help. Our Community Link Worker, Alan Ross, has appointments every Friday to assist with stress, isolation, and financial concerns.

• 🕯️ Baby Loss Awareness Month: We extend our compassion to all affected families. Join the Wave of Light on Wednesday, October 15th, at 7 pm to commemorate.
