Holland and Son are independent family owned and family focused Funeral Directors for over 100 years, our main office is located in Street but we pride ourselves with serving the wider community, with a friendly office and staff ready to welcome you or take your call to provide a dedicated funeral service meeting your needs 24 hours a day. We are built on providing a unique service, with highly trained staff on hand to guide you and your family through a difficult time with what can seem a complex process, we listen and adapt our services around the most fitting tribute required with arranging religious, non-religious, humanist or even spiritual services helping you to celebrate their life in the most respectful way. We are proud members of the NAFD and SAIF which gives you the reassurance that our staff follow a strict code of conduct at all times, so when you need us to act and be there for you, G Holland and Son Funeral Directors will take care of you and your loved one. Today we mark 81 years since the D-Day landings, remembering the service and sacrifice of all those involved in turning the tide in the Second World War.

D-Day was the largest seaborne invasion in history, marking the beginning of the liberation of France and Western Europe. A truly international effort, it saw British troops fighting alongside the United States, Canada, Australia, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, France, Greece, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, and Poland.

Join us as we remember the service and sacrifice of all those involved in turning the tide in the Second World War.
