We know waiting for hospital appointments, scans, or specialist referrals can be frustrating, and many patients understandably want to know how long it will take.

Hospital waiting times are set and managed by the hospital services, not by GP surgeries. This means we cannot control or speed up how quickly you are seen once a referral has been made.

Referrals to specialists are made by a GP or clinician following an assessment of your symptoms or condition.

In most cases, you will need to have an appointment first so we can ensure you are referred to the most appropriate service and that a referral is necessary.

Some services also accept self-referrals, meaning you can contact them directly without seeing a GP. Our team can advise you if this is an option for you.

As we reach the middle of April, we’d like to take a moment to highlight Testicular Cancer Awareness Month and remind everyone that it’s not too late to check in on your health.

Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged 15–49, but when caught early, it is highly treatable. Knowing what’s normal for you is key.

If your test results have been reviewed and require any further action, a member of our team will contact you directly.

If you have not heard from us, this usually means that your results are normal or do not require any follow-up. However, we always encourage patients to check their results for peace of mind.

Once reviewed by a clinician, your results will be available to view on the NHS App or Patient Access.

If you do not have access to these services, please pop into the surgery and one of our Patient Assistants will be happy to help you get set up.

We are currently fully booked for our Spring COVID-19 vaccination clinic.

We do not currently have any additional vaccines in stock. As soon as more vaccines become available, we will send text messages and emails to patients who are eligible to book.

If you believe you are eligible but we do not hold an up-to-date mobile number or email address for you, please update your contact details online, in person, or over the phone.

Additional dates and times will be made available in due course. We will inform our patients as soon as new clinic appointments are open for booking.
