✨ Join us for the MBC Quiz Night in support of Horsfall House ✨
We’re delighted that Minchinhampton Baptist Church are kindly organising a fantastic community quiz night in aid of Horsfall House on Friday 27 February and we’d love you to join us! 💛

Gather your team of six, bring your competitive spirit and enjoy an evening full of fun, friends and fundraising. And the word is… it’s going to be easier than last year! 😉

📍 Location: Minchinhampton Baptist Church, Tetbury Street, Minchinhampton GL6 9JH
⏰ Time: 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start
🥨 Nibbles provided - bring your own bottle
💷 Entry: Suggested donation £6.00 per person. To sign up online and make your donation, please use the QR code.
Card and cash donations will also be accepted on the night. 🙌

✨ What a night at Horsfall House! ✨
Last Friday evening, our wonderful community came together at Horsfall House Day Centre for a lively Bingo fundraiser - and what a fantastic success it was!

Guests enjoyed a delicious pulled‑pork roll, with a tasty vegetarian option available too, along with a great selection of drinks from the bar to keep the evening flowing. With plenty of laughter, friendly competition and some brilliant bingo wins, the room was buzzing from start to finish.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who attended, we raised nearly £700 in support of Horsfall House. A special thank you to the amazing Day Centre team, whose hard work and organisation made the whole evening possible. Your efforts truly shone.

Week one of Snowdrops at Hyde – what a start!

Despite the relentless rain, our first Sunday of the Snowdrops at Hyde fundraiser was a truly wonderful afternoon with more than 50 visitors. A huge thank you to everyone who braved the weather to come along - your support means so much and it was lovely to see visitors enjoying the gardens even under grey skies.

We’re already looking forward to welcoming you back next Sunday, from 1pm to 4pm, for another chance to wander through the beautiful snowdrops in support of Horsfall House.

A gentle reminder to join us for open gardens in aid of Horsfall House 🌿
Our much‑loved winter open gardens returns for 2026, giving visitors the chance to explore a beautiful display of rare and striking snowdrops across the private gardens of Hyde. Alongside the blooms, local historian Richard Davis has produced a fascinating feature on the remarkable houses that make this event so special. ✨ Entry by voluntary donation - please give generously if you can

🚗 Parking is limited, so please car share or 🚶 walk via Knapp Lane where possible

Paws up for Gemma: A loving farewell to our therapy star
Last Friday we say a very heartfelt thank you and a fond farewell to our brilliant therapy dog Gemma, who is officially hanging up her harness and heading into a very well‑deserved retirement.
Gemma has brought comfort, calm and countless smiles to our residents, clients and staff. Whether she was offering a gentle paw to hold, brightening someone’s morning with a wagging tail or simply being a reassuring presence on the toughest days, she has been an absolute treasure to our community.
And of course, we cannot forget her wonderful hooman, Debs, who has been by her side every step of the way. Their visits together have meant more than words can express, and we are deeply grateful for the time, energy and love they have shared with us.
While Gemma enjoys her well‑earned rest (and hopefully endless treats and cuddles), we’re delighted that Debs will still be part of our extended family - you’ll spot her at our events and continuing the friendships she’s built along the way.
Thank you Gemma. Thank you Debs. You will always be part of our story. 💙🐾

What a wonderful afternoon we’ve just had at our Winter Tunes event! ❄️🎶
Residents, families and friends gathered together to enjoy a beautiful live performance by viola player Philip Heyman, whose music brought so much joy and calm to our home on this chilly January day. The lounge was filled with smiles, tapping toes and plenty of heartfelt moments.
Guests were treated to a selection of drinks and delicious canapés, adding an extra touch of warmth and celebration to the occasion. It was lovely to see everyone chatting, relaxing, and making memories together.
A huge thank you to Philip for sharing such stunning music with us, and to everyone who joined us to make the afternoon so special. 💙

What an absolute treat we had today at Horsfall House💖🐴
We were delighted to welcome Sarah Woodland and the wonderful Poppy from Dinky Ponies for a very special visit. Poppy, an 18‑year‑old mini Shetland and experienced therapy pony, trotted in as calm and gentle as could be and looking fabulous in her shiny pink shoes and matching pink bows. ✨🎀
She brought pure joy to residents in our Cotswold and Gatcombe units, as well as to our Day Centre clients. There were smiles, cuddles and more than a few happy tears as Poppy worked her magic. It’s amazing how much comfort and connection animals can bring and today was a beautiful reminder of that.
A huge thank you to Sarah and Poppy for creating such a memorable morning for everyone. 💗

What a deliciously busy week in our Day Centre!
Our clients rolled up their sleeves for a spot of baking, filling the room with the smell of freshly made shortbread and the unmistakable chocolatey crunch of homemade tiffin. There were plenty of smiles and a fair bit of taste‑testing too!
Activities like this aren’t just great fun; they help support confidence, creativity and connection, which are at the heart of everything we do here at Horsfall House.

Today, our residents and clients had the joy of meeting some very special visitors - a pair of stunning owls!
There was plenty of excitement as everyone discovered fascinating facts and enjoyed the chance to meet these feathered friends up close. The highlight? Gently feeling their soft feathers – truly unforgettable!
