Supporting both domains is key to holistic wellbeing. Evidence-informed strategies, such as structured psychological support, lifestyle management, and stress reduction, can help maintain balance and resilience.

If you’re experiencing difficulties with stress, chronic health conditions, or emotional wellbeing, speaking with a qualified mental health professional can be a helpful step.

Random Acts of Kindness Day is a powerful reminder that even the smallest gestures can make a big difference to someone’s mental health and wellbeing.

A kind word, a smile or simply checking in on someone can help reduce feelings of stress, loneliness and anxiety.

Kindness not only supports others - it also benefits our own mental health. When we show kindness, our brain releases feel-good hormones and helping us feel happier, calmer and more connected.

Taking a moment to listen, support a colleague or offer encouragement can brighten someone’s day more than we realise.

Let’s use this day to remind ourselves and others:

- Kindness improves mental wellbeing

- Small actions can have a big impact

- Checking in can save someone from feeling alone

Together, through simple acts of kindness, we can help build a more supportive and mentally healthy community.

Mental health matters - everywhere

Globally, around 1 in 7 people live with mental health issues. According to recent research from the World Health Organization (WHO), 71% of people experiencing mental health conditions do not receive the support or services they need.

This gap highlights the urgent need for greater awareness, accessible care, and open conversations around mental well-being. Together, we can help reduce stigma and advocate for better mental health support for everyone.

Supporting children and young people’s mental health starts with noticing when they may be struggling. Some signs to look out for include:

- Changes in mood, e.g., becoming withdrawn, tearful, or irritable

- Changes in behaviour, e.g., loss of interest in hobbies, school avoidance, or acting out

- Physical complaints, e.g., frequent headaches or stomachaches without clear cause

- Sleep or appetite changes

- Difficulty concentrating or sudden drop in school performance

💡 Early support makes a real difference. Parents and carers can self-refer to get guidance, assessment, and practical strategies to help their child.

You don’t have to wait - support is available.
