Today we made some more mince pies, thank you to our volunteer Anjie for coming into bake with us.
one of our new visitors said that he is looking forward to taste testing, he said that "Mr Kippling" makes the best mince pies.

Yesterday was one of our Christmas Lunch days, we have 3 in total to ensure all of our visitors have a Christmas meal. as you can see all of our visitors enjoyed their meal and our support staff had a fabulous time as well.

Today we are making Christmas cards, we had a very messy session with paint and glitter. We are starting to feel very Christmassy......

We made mince pies yesterday, this was great reminiscence, we all had so much fun and discussions on how we make pastry properly.

Yesterday we shared a celebration with one of our visitors, a very big happy birthday 99 years young.

It was Martin's Birthday today, we like to treat our volunteers so we invited him to have lunch with his wife at the Centre. as you can see from his face he was extremely happy with the invite and enjoyed his meal.

Today we had a new visitor he said he had a lovely first day and will come back to visit next week.
we had so much fun with our Entertainer Steve Witcombe this afternoon, he came to sing and play his guitar whist some of our visitors and Support Workers had a dance.

We are currently looking for Volunteers to come and spend some time with us. we have a friendly staff team there are opportunities to learn new skills. we are particular looking for the following;
Cook - help us make some cakes to take home or share in a group
reading - anyone willing to come and read either on a 1:1 or in a group
Transport - anyone willing to drive a visitor to the centre and home again (mileage paid)

we would love to hear from anyone leaving school/college that would like some experience working in the care sector.
