❤️The darker nights can be challenging in respect of how we feel and function.

Reduced sunlight experienced during the autumn and winter nights is a primary contributor to seasonal dips in our energy, mood, and general health and wellbeing. One of the best ways to counteract this is to find opportunities for brightness and introducing selfcare routines, such as going for a walk, listening to uplifting music or putting time aside for you by having a regular massage. Implementing selfcare changes can impact not only you but those around you.

The physical touch associated with regular massage offers connection and dedicated time for yourself, helping to increase the ‘happy hormones'. Carefully selected aromatherapy essential oils can help relax overactive minds and bodies whilst uplifting your mood and reducing feelings of low mood and tearfulness.

The accumulative effect of a regular massage is really beneficial.

✨️ I offer a loyalty offer for those wishing to commit to regular treatments.

Suffering from tight, sore, or tired legs?

An aromatherapy leg and foot massage not only promotes relaxation but can also help target specific physical issues such as muscle soreness, poor circulation, and swelling.

Benefits include:
🏃‍♀️Improved blood circulation - to the muscles & tissues.
🏃‍♂️Help ease muscle tension and pain - using anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving oils such as peppermint, rosemary or eucalyptus, soothing sore muscles & joints.
🏃‍♀️Reduces swelling & fluid retention - helping the body eliminate toxins and excess fluid from the tissues.
🏃‍♂️Enhance flexibility and range of motion - reducing muscle tightness & increasing blood flow to improve flexibility and lead to better athletic performance and injury prevention.

🌷My 30-minute treatment is a relaxing massage to ease aches and tightness, finished off with a cooling gel of Aloe Vera, Seaweed and Witch Hazel for reviving sore and tired legs and feet.

COPING WITH CHANGE

🍁Early autumn is a season that can bring about many changes in our lives – the start of school, children off to university, days getting shorter. It’s like we’ve lost our comfort blanket.

These periods of insecurity can cause us to feel anxious, lost, and emotional.

Using aromatherapy essential oils like frankincense, lavender, and vetiver can help you cope with change by reducing stress and anxiety, promoting feelings of stability and grounding, and restoring a sense of control during transitions.

Use your oils in massage, diffusers, or relaxing baths. Deep, slow breathing while inhaling your chosen aroma can enhance the calming and mood-lifting effects of essential oils, helping to soothe negative emotions and help facilitate acceptance of new circumstances.

Get in touch if you would like a relaxing, comforting massage to help you on your way to embracing the beauty of autumn.

Always refer to the safety data when using essential oils.

🌸 Open Event at Cottage Garden Aromatherapy. 🌸

Ladies, maybe you have considered booking an aromatherapy massage in the past, but trying something new when you have not met your therapist or know what to expect can be off-putting and, for some, overwhelming.

A massage can be quite intimate, so feeling comfortable with your practitioner and environment is important as it helps you feel relaxed from the outset, ensuring you experience the full benefit from your chosen treatment.

At this open event, I offer you the opportunity to come and say hello, see the treatment area, and ask any questions you might have. You can book an appointment, for which I offer new clients 10% off their first treatment, and purchase treatment gift vouchers – a great present for someone you care about.

Refreshments will be available for a small donation to Meningitis Now.

I really look forward to seeing you.

Suzanne

I've turned to my comforting essential oils this week to help come to terms with the sudden loss of our beloved, faithful companion, Finlay. ❤️ What an amazing dog he was.

Aromatherapy essential oils can provide a wonderful additional resource to help us cope with the raw emotions the loss of a loved one can evoke. Of course, they cannot stop the grieving process, but they can provide comfort and help us to express our grief and sadness and come to terms with it.

In my steam diffuser, I have been using:
🌹Rose - known as one of the most comforting and calming oils
🌻Frankincense - warming and comforting
🌸Geranium - for tearfulness and balancing emotions
And Lavender at night to help sleep.

Nothing can replace the loss, but nature can help us heal. 💔

🌻Introducing new mini treatment – The back exfoliation and polish!

We’ve all struggled in the shower to get to those hard-to-reach places. This 15-minute treatment is ideal as an add-on prior to your aromatherapy back or body massage. Combining coconut oil, dead sea salts, detoxifying and purifying essential oils to cleanse the back of dead skin cells, allowing the oils used in the massage greater ability to be absorbed. Your skin is left feeling soft and silky.

🌻Book now and try it for yourself.
