Re the late Hazel Prodger (Mum) - charity donations received.
I just wanted to say again a HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated to Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter in Mum's memory.
Together we raised £702.50!!
I will be taking cheques and cash across to them today and Much Loved online donations will transfer on Monday.
I cannot thank you all enough for your kindness ❤️🐾❤️🐾

Today is Remember Your Pet Day — a day to pause and honor the companions who filled our lives with unconditional love. As this candle glows bright, it carries memories of wagging tails, gentle purrs, familiar routines, and the quiet comfort only they knew how to give. They weren’t just pets; they were family, confidants, and the ones who stayed when the world felt heavy.

Let this candle shine for all the pets we’ve lost but will never forget. Though their paws no longer walk beside us, their love still lives on in our hearts, guiding us through the days we miss them most. We remember them with gratitude, with tears, and with a love that time can never erase.

For my best friend, my mum 💔

The Echo of Your Love...

I reach for the phone in the quiet of the day,
To tell you a story in the old, familiar way.
Then silence reminds me you’ve walked on ahead,
Leaving whispers of wisdom in the words that you said.
You are the "afterglow" in the setting sun’s light,
The soft, silver stars that watch over the night.
Though the "family chain" has a link that is gone,
Your spirit is the anchor that helps me move on.
I see your reflection in the life I now lead,
In the kindness I show and the love that I seed.
For a mother’s true garden isn’t found in the clay,
But in my heart; the daughter you guided each day.
You aren't truly gone, though we’re briefly apart,
You are safely "locked within" the walls of my heart.
And until we can meet where the flowers all grow,
I’ll carry your love everywhere that I go.

As we approach the end of 2025, it's time to think ahead to what 2026 may bring...
To some of you 2025 will have been a happy, successful year, whilst to others it may have brought grief and sadness..
Whatever life holds in store for us all, let's be grateful that it brought us together, to share experiences and to make new friendships.
I hope that 2026 will be kind to us all and even if we have some dark moments, that there will also be some moments of light, which we can treasure.
Warmest wishes to you all for the New Year ❤️🙏

On the stroke of midnight tonight, you can resolve to be better, if you like…
to be fitter,
to eat cleaner,
to work harder.

On the stroke of midnight tonight,
you can resolve to become a whole new you,
if you so choose.

Or, you can take a moment to acknowledge what you already are.
Because it’s a lot.
You are a lot.

And you deserve to be truly seen.

On the stroke of midnight tonight, perhaps you could congratulate yourself, for coping.
For breaking, again,
for rebuilding, again.

For catching the stones life has thrown at you,
and using them to build your castle that little bit more beautifully.

And if you have used those stones to block yourself in for the ‘heal’, perhaps you can realign them this year. Make a grander gate, not a higher wall.

You have endured, my friend.
Through times you thought unendurable. You did.

And I don’t see the need to resolve to become a whole new you,
when you are already so very much indeed.

Happy new year.

You made it.

Now let us face another 365 day-turn, arms wide…
accepting, embracing and ‘seeing’ one other,
for all we truly are…

breaks and all.
