How A Walk Helps Lift The Mental Mood
Walking is known for its physical health benefits but recently it has been getting positive recognition for being part of good mental health practices.
Research has shown that walking releases endorphins which decrease stress hormones and, in some cases, be as effective as some antidepressants.
Being outside without the distractions of music, podcasts or anything else audibly plugged in, can be very beneficial for bringing back a natural balance to mind and body. And if mind feels at the point of overload, by having a rural walk where the only sounds are of nature, can bring life back into a calmer perspective, even release writers block!
We must never forget that we are part of this planet earth and walking connects us to it in a natural, healthy and empowering way!
Have a great week and remember:
When life changes, the way you think has to change too!
